Theres always a time, when, for once, were a genius. Were theres a shot, that perhaps ONLY we could make even if it was tried by Pro's for hours. The moment when you realise that all the practice, all the love for the game seems worth it, when you make a shot that turns heads, has your opponents jaw droping to the floor and makes you almost jump with excitement. The time when you do, your greatest shot!

Now, it may be hard to describe, however, im sure if your greatest shot was good enough, your be jumping at the chance to reply to this post within seconds, but give it your best shot (no pun intedned...ok, maybe it was lol) at telling us Pro9ers the best shot youve ever played.

:-P

I saw a guy break at nine ball and the one ball exploded! I'd love to be able to do that on demand!

:D

Y'know something?... I would've loved to have seen the late and great Willie Mosconi and Efren Reyes playing, while they both were in there best years, even though Willie mostly played straight pool, but to have seen those guys playing, it would've been an awesome and truely amazing match to watch, but unfortunately, this is a match, that will never be witnessed, but saying that Efren is still in his prime, but not just to what he used to be, but still amazing nevertheless.

The reason why I mention Willie Mosconi is because there is an old film reel, from 1941, of Willie MOosconi and Andrew Ponzi in the them World Pocket Billiard Championships, which was straight pool, now the score was Mosconi on 123 and Andrew Ponzi on 124, now Willie was left with just the #10, 7 and 13 balls left on the table, the 10 and snowball on the bottom rail, shooting towards the right corner pocket, the 7 bal being a 1/4 diamond up from the bottom rail and 2" out of lower right side rail and the 13 ball being on the same side of the table, 1 diamond from the corner pocket and the 13, sitting just off the rail, now what happened was, Willie made the 10 in the lower right corner and played it to just stop the cue ball, but only got a little run through, so he was now sitting with the snowball, sitting on the bottom rail, with no shot because he can't bank the 7 and is hooked by the 7, for shooting at the 13, so what does Willie do?.... After he made the 10, the match was paused because there was a phone call, so it turned out, that the phone call was from the hospital, to tell him, that his wife had just gave birth to their son, to which he wrote on the scoreboard, "IT'S A BOY!", willie then calls the 13 ball in the top right corner, kicks the cueball off 5 rails and makes the 13 in the corner, to win his first world championship title match :)

If any of you know of the archive billards video collector and billiards collectables, Roger Lee, he has a series of Collectable vVHS tapes, that have many pieces of footage on there of legendary snooker, billiards and yes Pool Players, including Mosconi, Frank Taberski, Ralph Greenleaf, Irwin Rudolf, Charlie Peterson, etc, many of which, are in the BCA Hall of Fame and to any of you, who would like to see great footage like this, including the footage of Willie making the butterfly shot, jumping the snowball from 1 table, to the other and making all 6 balls, you can get in contact with Roger Lee about the videos as I owned a copy untill my old VCR chewed the tape up, which sickened me completely :) lol, but yes, definitely worth checking out :)

Willie

P.S. I have played many great shots, with some of the trickshots that I have learned or attempted, including some of kimura's and each shot is a great shot in it's own way :)
