Just thought i should let everyone know that i, along with numerous other IPT players have received a wired bank transfer from the IPT for Reno Open!

I spoke to Pat Holtz and he confirmed the same.

The payment was 1/9th of my total payment...they will be paying a ninth next week and so on.

This is superb news for everyone who wants to be a part of the IPT as it confirms that they are doing everything in thier power to make this tour a success.

Now, golf... there's a thought! Nice idea Boyzi. Anyone care for a round? It's beginning to look more and more like I through my $2k away on an unrealistic dream. Paid my money, took my chance, won my qualifier and my free ticket to Nowhereville. Horray. do you think I'll be able to trade in my cues for a bag of clubs? Anyone know how long it would take me to get to scratch after not picking up a club for 10 years? :D

It is disgusting how all your boys have been treated, people have travelled half way round the world to play in there events for many its there primary income and not a hobby.

If you are gona offer a pay out of this magnitude you have to have the dollars in the bank before the event and pay out what you have advertised, i dont think you would get people playing if you were told at the start that you wont be paid for months and when we do we will pay you chicken feed for the next god knows how long.

If i traded in the same manner in my shop id be closed down!! and be charged for obtaining good/services by deception!!

"Show me a poolplayer and I will show you a wasted childhood!"

Even though the IPT have started with payouts (just 11% a month), it looks like poolplayers need to go back to the small tournaments around the world.

IF the IPT organize another tournament all the players should get a REAL GUARANTEE that the money are safe, and will be paid out. THEN they can compete.

But to the thread, money in pool.

Yes, there is money in pool, for the best players.

Us who are happy if we make two balls in a row, we travel to tournaments to meet other people, have fun, get some drinks and laugh, and be happy if we win enough money to cover the flights!

For me, all tournaments are like holidays, with oppurtunities to make money... (But I am so bad I can't make money. Only by gambling, IF I get good handicap and my opponent is dead drunk ;))
