Whats happened!!!
When mmtv existed i used to make the 500 mile round trip for a decent game and after i lost looked at finding the right game it seems to of died a death.
I realise Andy Appleton has moved clubs and don't know what his plans are but amateurs i'm sure are out there looking for games maybe we can get a few matched up here.
I'll be up for a game in kent or london if i can find a fair game, would be great to liven up the scene at all levels and if Andy would let us use the mmtv cats for referenace that would help
challenges welcome

I totally agree Rich, 9 Ball money games have gone stale over the recent months, however i think 9 Ball as a whole has slackened off again with the exception of the fantastic work GB9 & T9B are still doing. Saying that though even they are struggling to get the support they deserve as numbers have dropped this year. If you look at how the 8 Ball comps are being supported they are leaps and bounds ahead of the american game. The recent UK 8 Ball Amateur Championships if i remember right had a full field of 64 players and loads on the reserve list whereas our leading 9 Ball comps (GB9 & T9B) are taking longer to try and fill and even are coming up short sometimes. Take a look at the up and coming T9B event in Barnsley, just over 2 weeks away and still less than 30 entries [ This message was edited by: -Dazza- on 2013-04-18 07:38 ]

.........Continued and even then only a small percentage has comitted fully by paying in advance. I can remember when Barnsley used to hold 2 day events and they would fill up with 64 entries within a few days, i know i was there for some of them! I know you can blame the economic climate for the effect of the support, as it can be very expensive for travel expenses etc and breaking even is very difficult for the Amateur however by entering the events and showing support you would struggle to improve greatly without coaching or playing some of the best in the business. I'm one of these people who have not been in a position financially to support these events however i hope to do so in the future, and have done in the past! T9B National Series is coming up to it's 3rd event of the year and already 2 of these have been cut from 2 day to 1 day events showing that the support just isn't there! Rich,
I'll play you. Prefer 10 ball. Ashford or Kings X mate.
Message me and we can sort it.

I would not mind having a match, 9 ball. Either in Enfield or St Albans perhaps and if I know in advance then Braintree.
Cheers,
Sunny

I've heard talk of MMTV 9 ball returning Rich but not sure when. I hope it does because I think it's much better to watch than 8 ball.
