I understand how the sponsorship process works, but does anyone know how medium size tournaments get cash sponsorship. I'm talking about pool here, so I'm not talking about the millions of pounds that international televised golf tournaments get added, but I've seen small-ish pool tournaments with €10,000 prize funds with only 32 players like this one... http://www.pro9.co.uk/html/article.php?sid=2028...Did that money come from sponsorship, or from the qualifying rounds? Anyone know?

I imagine that the majority of that would have been from the 181 players that were entered in the tournament (1st line of write up)
