On Saturday 28th July the biggest 9-BALL POOL TOURNAMENT in Ireland will be celebrating its 10th annual event when the prestigious 2012 All Ireland Open 9-Ball Championship takes centre stage with this popular tournament having a new playing venue and a new playing format introduced for 2012..........
The 10th annual event will be played over two days limited to 32 players with €1,000 in prize-money if 32 players are received with the winner collecting €500 and the beautiful perpetual crystal trophy.........
NOTE: Due to circumstances beyond Ireland’s American 8 & 9 Ball control the 10th annual event had to be moved from the fantastic playing venue in Sligo and will now take place at Northwest Snooker Club, Letterkenny, Co.Donegal............BRIEF DETAILS LISTED BELOW.
BRIEF DETAILS: 1. The tournament is limited to 32 players with the first 28 players accepted on a first come, first served basis, with entries only accepted with full entry fee of €30 + €7reg.
2. If there is more than 32 players a open qualifier will take place on the Friday night 27th July involving players outside the first 28 paid entries.
3. The tournament will be played in groups of four in a double elimination format with the top two players from each group progressing into the last-16 (knockout format for last-16). (a): four groups of four played at 10am on Saturday 28th July (double elimination ---- race to 9). (b): four groups of four played at 3pm on Saturday 28th July (double elimination ---- race to 9). (c): the last-16 will be played on Sunday 29th July starting at 10am…(straight knockout ---- race to 10).
4. All players will receive their full playing HANDICAP both in group double elimination format and knockout stages.
5. If entries don’t go over the 32 there will be no qualifiers on the Friday night and 32 players will go into draw..........(all based on first come, first served).
6. PRIZE-MONEY: ------ if 32 players are received the following prize-money will be paid out. Winner €500 + crystal trophy, Runner-Up €200, Semi-Finals €200 (2x€100), ¼-Finals €100 (4x€25).

Letterkenny is fantastic town for night life with well over 10 night clubs and lots of hotels and b&b plus alot of other attractions around the town if any oversea players are thinking of coming over to play in our 10th annual event.......................www.rballsports.com

It was awesome mark.... Just a great laugh. Tables obviously left a lot to be desired but it didn't matter....it was proper old school, rack your own...1 on spot... Gaps everywhere!! And run down tables.... Brilliant!! Lol. Can't wait for next one. Also, I think mark was the only player in the tournament who didn't get smashed 2 nights running! Defo deserved the win tho.... Top performance
