Apparently they've been playing since Monday!
Dippy's on 7 playing 8 ahead for 100k at Pool Sharks in Las Vegas.
Scott just ran 16 and then 2 to bring it back down to 6.
Can someone explain how the "18-4" handicap works in One Pocket - they are playing this handicap apparently?

Dave Basically, it means that Frost has to get 18 balls in his pocket before Dippy gets 4 in his. It also means that the first 6 balls (I think) that Frost pockets are re-spotted at the end of his innings. Is Dippy Dave just a cash machine for money hungry pool players - or does he know what he's doing with the handicap? (Basically, does anyone know if he's up or down overall, and by how much?) He's obviously quite an astute poker player, so you would think he'd know the percentages inside and out, but I can't see many pool players paying that kind of dough... Although I guess a lot of it is just money from backers - it IS Vegas after all). [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2011-07-28 20:08 ]

Dippy Dave is better known as Dave "Viffer" Peat... An accomplished professional poker player with substantial cash wins to his name... More money than he knows what to do with I think. i.e. Viffer won approx. $300,000 in 2007 in tournament wins.
Scott "The Freezer" Frost is an accomplished pool player win many scalps under his belt. In 2007, Scott bagged approx. $11,000 from tournament wins.
I'm sorry, but I've forgotten where I got the original "heads up" about it, I just know it was a reliable source, but I've not heard anything more about it.
