Does anyone have any good suggestions for a new cue case?
needs to hold at least 3 butts 3 shafts and preferably lightweight.
Thanks

Hello, The Whitten and Justis cases are leather "pro-style" cases and are very nice but obviously very pricey too. If you want something more lightweight and much less expensive you could consider the Laperti or Buffalo cue bags. They hold up to 4 butts and 8 shafts apparently and Tony Drago and Kevin Hew were using them at the IPT qualifiers at Victoria recently. Steve Knight used the Laperti one (which is suede-ish rather than the leatherette used by Buffalo) when he went to the USA in 2001. Just a different option for you and much cheaper. I've seen the Laperti for £30 and the Buffalo for around £50 and they're very nicely padded inside. Hope this helps, Chris. [ This message was edited by: Chrstc on 2006-09-09 10:37 ]

I can agree with above....i have had a large amount of cases lol .....looking around my room i can see 2 porper's, a 3x5 and my whitten and i've already got rid of some. If you go for a buffalo case they do one in black with a nice padded strap with like a furry bit on it.....if you look at sue's and see what you think.......i'm a firm believer in a hard case though as if you are putting your cue in there it needs protecting well.....when using a cue bag style case i would sometimes find unexplainable dings in the cue shafts. Johnny you have seen the condition of my playing cue its 10yrs old and not a single mark of any kind on it and it has been all round the world with the rocket before i got it. ----------------- [ This message was edited by: PC on 2006-09-09 10:48 ]

Hi, Have you seen the Longoni cases then? They're made of hard ABS plastic (like a Samsonite suitcase!) or wood depending on the model and they're meant to be super-lightweight and very strong. Here's a link to the cases on the Longoni webste. There is a 3x6 model towards the bottom of the page. Longoni CasesChris. [ This message was edited by: Chrstc on 2006-09-09 14:21 ]

I do think Whitten cases are the best protection for your cues and the best made. I have 2 and both have been bashed about all over the place and they look as good as the day I got them.
A handful of friend have bought Whitten cases on my recomendation and they are very happy.

I don't think that, in terms of weight, Whittens or Justis cases etc are going to be paricularly light at all and that's what you said you wanted- something light if possible. That's why I was trying to recommend something different- just because I thought that's what you were actually after. Obviously I failed lol! Good luck finding what you're actually after, then. Chris.

Whitten-Justis-Instroke
All are great cases and will offer lots of protection. The justis will probably be the lightest out of the 3 but also the most expensive. How much are you looking to spend??

Ahhhh, you really know how to get people in trouble don't you? I'm afraid I've sort of banned advertising other shops in the forums, as I'm about to open my own, and it didn't seem to make good business sense to me. I'm sure you'll get some PM's though.
