Ok fellas, im a lover of 9-ball, and play it any chance I get, im improving over time but theres one thing that slightly annoys me when I play. Its when the white is locked on the rail.

Can someone give me any advice, even mental advice, as to how I should play off the rail? Any little advice or little tricks would be great. It seems even when I take my time over the shot im struggling.

Dazza :-)

1. Stay down on the shot and do not move your head.

2. Elevate the butt of your cue slightly and make sure you exagerate the follow-through.

3. concentrate on playing through the ball....almst like you're exaggerating the shot...

there's a very informative thread over AZ|B about this. my favourite advice was the mental one - just think of the shot as a follow/topspin shot.

threadhttp://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=38770&highlight=rail+follow+shot

and excuse my mess of trying to post a hyperlink lol. just copy and paste it.
