But the break off shot itself is amazing!! He was probably charging so much off the break that he lost his concentration on the next shot. [ This message was edited by: cusack_147 on 2006-07-03 22:47 ]

Depends really if he meant to take the cueball to the side rail and back out again. I have heard myths about 7/8 ball pocketed breaks, no idea if they are true though!

Just think it's a lot of luck considering quite a few of them were kicked in or kicked into direction.
Both wing balls were way off also!

Whats the most you have done from the break? I've done 5, I also managed to do 5 of the same colour playing english pool, a feat I can safely say I will never to be able to repeat as long as I live!

Surely the best break is when the 9-ball goes straight in?........Er let's not go there again!

That was funny lol...
Yes you can control the break in ways of making wing balls, fortunate control and out come of the cueball, and whatever else you can do on the break etc... but the other balls its always luck where they travell too & land.
Alex Pagulayan you saw there being the showman to the crowd which he mostly does, He was being abit arrogant and smiling thinking he had the rack instead of just concentrating and making sure of winning the rack. I know it was bad postion on the 8ball and a tough shot to make but I think he took it quicker than the usuall pace he plays at.
Shows you even the pros can mess up. That clip would have to go on pool bloopers.
I have made 5balls off the break about 4times ever.

My 9 ball break is embarrasingly bad. My best break achievement was at english pool when I once won a rack from the break with 4 shots. I carried on to pot the remaining set of balls in a further 6 shots making a total of 10. A bit of a fluke I suppose but still one to cherish!

Good point spoony, how can he be snookered on the 3 ball when there's only two balls. I reckon this Dazzler bloke is making it up!!

I made 7 against Steve Brown at Doncaster Rileys. I was snookered behind the 9 ball looking at a ridiculous kick on the 7. Missed it and lost the frame. This was also the first break.

That was a good break but nevertheless it was extremely lucky. i am 16 and i play english pool and i have also potted 5 balls of the same colour off the break and i completed the rack to make it my quickest 8 baller. i did it in 4 shots!!

My dream for a 8-ball match is: My opponent breaks and makes 7 balls, all the stripes. Then he misses the 8-ball on the next shot, and I can enter a open and free table and just make the 8-ball to win!!!

It Seems you have to be a Crazy Dude or Dudette to make a good break in 9ball!
