It has been noted in the St Albans (real home of champions) pool league that marriage usually equates to the end of you pool game... Glad he’s already won the Worlds! Congrats!

I think as they already have a daughter we can presume that their daily routine isn't changing dramatically because of this, and hopefully Daryl will win for many years to come.
Johnny Archer had a huge boost in form after his marriage!

I think a certain mr strickland needs a bit of loving, maybe then he will be a bit more relaxed!

I like how he waits till he has a million quid in the bank before he marries her. Hillarious.

Congrats to yorkshire's finest. You do realise you'll be lucky to win another comp this year. I think the ring affects your balance or something. Best wishes all the same! [ This message was edited by: expertfluke on 2008-04-03 22:40 ]

Thanks guys and gals!
....I really feel like i have been run off my feet these last 4 months since winning the WPC. Initially it was Mosconi cup fever, but after the new year it was running around like a mad man, all over the shop in order to set up my coming year (poolwise i mean). Then the last 6 weeks or so have been to do with the wedding, getting everything ready, making sure things are sorted, then actually having the wedding etc etc.
So, for the first time since the WPC, i finally feel like i can go ahead and do what i do best....and that is focus on my game, and get back to winning ways again.
So if you thought that Daryl Peach was on a major tilt, think again......IM BACK!

On 2008-04-06 23:45 , BigDave Wrote:Hi, I'm new on this board and hope I could modestly contribute to it. I'de like to give some more information about this event. There were not 98 but more than 180 players in the field. Sunday, the 64 qualifiers were playing in a single KO format. It was race to 7 for the first 2 rounds, then race to 8 and from the quarterfinal to 9. All stages were playing in an altrernate break (one each) format. In the field were also competiting, for the well known, Jonni Fulcher, Huidji See, Christian Reimering, Sandor Tot, Nico Ottermann, Martin Kempter, Ronald Regli and Mehmet Cankurt. The semi finalists were on one side Daryl Peach and Nick van den Berg (9-7) and on the other Ronald Regli and Dimitri Jungo (8-9) At about 22:30 Dimitri Jungo took a final victory over Daryl Peach with a 9-5 score. They were encouraged by a crowd of 400 to 500 people. Great pool week-end
