I'm a good friend of thecardman, I'll send him a text msg and ask him to post here to let you know what he has got, but it wouldn't suprise me if hes got the lot :), he really has got an AWESOME selection of Pool and Billiards videos and DVDs.

Text is sent and so he knows to respond asap and I have also let him know that he'll need to reregister on here, just in case he hasn't already :)

Does anyone else think that the earlier Mosconi Cups were more entertaining than the more recent ones? I wonder why that is?

I guess its because there was more time for the pool and less for the television/computer/technology side, in other words you switched on and watched 9 ball, now you switch on and see everything to do with adverts, behind the scenes, stats....stats and ermmmm more stats....oh and a tiny bit of 9 ball pool until the next adverts come on....its not thrilling like that, or am I wrong???

I think maybe the play has been better in past years. The 2005 Mosconi wasnt a textbook on how to play shots because the pressure got to all the players more so this year.

I would like the Mosconi to go back to being a race to 12 points (maybe even longer) with a race to six to win the point. The Mosconi was decided by so many 5-4's this year and that extra rack and extra point could make all the difference. It also gives us more pool on TV!

Hi folks

Willie - got your text just before I left to hit some balls around at Reardon's today (needed it, haven't hit a ball since Joe Porper beat the trash out of me at One Pocket in Blackpool 3 weeks ago!).

I think I've got the 2002 Mosconi somewhere. I'll need to have a look before I can say for certain, but I certainly taped it when it was happening (I distictly remember having accidentally made arrangements to go to see Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers on the Sunday night! Got home before the final match, tho!). I'll let you know ASAP.

I, too, think that the races should be longer - possibly race to 7, winner breaks (the length of match they play at the Derby City Classic)! None of the alternate break stuff (a personal hate of mine in 9 Ball).

Anyone who'd like to see my DVD list that TheWizard mentioned above, please PM me and I'll forward one on to you.

Best wishes

thecardman

Speaking of the Mosconi. I need a little help. You know the music that they play when the scores are put up on the screen. Or the order of play. Its a very inspirational kinda music. I think the Ryder Cup use it also.

Does anyone know what that is because im about to start a highlight reel for the Mosconi Cup 2005 and would love to use that music in some parts of it.
