Posted deleted by admin.Sorry, but The Pro Shop pay a lot of money to sell cues here - I can't really let you compete with them in the forums for free! [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2008-03-05 21:00 ]

Yeah, I know it seems a bit inconsistent and that's my fault, not yours... Sorry!
I still like the fact that people can find a bargain in our forums but at the same time I can't allow anyone to sell Predators here because that could cost The Pro Shop a sale and that would be crazy after all the work I do here!
I think I'm coming to the conclusion, regrettably, that we'll have to prohibit all selling here sooner, rather than later.. My indecisiveness on this matter seems to wind people up more than anything else!

You could of course charge a fee for listing a product here. After all the people who buy 2nd hand are probably doing so cos they can't afford a brand new one. So if they can't buy a predator or any other cue 2nd hand they probably wouldn't come to you. I'm not saying though your prices are high as they are not but some people just can't afford to pay the prices (including me), and those that can afford a new cue would probably not be interested in a discounted one and would still come to you regardless. If you charge a fee (say £10 - £20) your not losing out and the 2nd hand cue stays within the Pro 9 Community. Another suggestion would be to buy the cues from the players wishing to sell them and then have a 2nd hand section and mark them up by a few quid.
Just some suggestions not wishing to ruffle any feathers.

Chirst147 has a good idea - charge people a small amount to list their products in a new 'used goods' section of the Pro Shop.
Or you could buy the item and sell it on.
Some good points made by Chirst, if someone can't afford a Predator then you haven't really lost a sale if they buy a much cheaper second hand one since they won't be buying a brand new one anyway.

I can totally understand where Big Daves coming from, its a fine balancing act to keep everyone happy. I've moved a few cues on here and i like the fact we can offer each other our old cues ect. The one thing i always make sure of is that i'm not offering anything the pro shop sells.
