Oh Lord, save me from So! Apparently the final was a tie between Martinho Correia and Gareth Esprit - I guess they both qualify for free entry into the IPT qualifier at Victoria - That's all I know - Not sure if they're two $500 entries or what? We'll have to wait for further info from Pete and Andy!

Gareth played some good stuff from what i saw, just a shame i let him off the hook missing a sitter at 3-1 ahead, good luck to him if it was 2 spots.

I think it was 32 or 38 off the top of my head, 8 groups with the top 2 in each moving on to the straight knockout stages

I believe it was 36, but i'm sure pete will be able to advise you when he gets chance. It sounded like a lot more when Karl Milner got up to speed!!! I would like to say thankyou to Pete and his apn helpers, Rileys Victoria staff for a good days pool, it was well worth the drive from leeds, all the players made it a nice friendly atmosphere too (Nigel Francis being the friendliest of all, top bloke), all in all just how a good days pool should be.....well apart from me winning LOL but then that would be dreaming. ----------------- [ This message was edited by: PC on 2006-06-12 00:12 ]

I don't know the winners but congratulations to them. I'm dissappointed for Nick who must have lost in the semis. He's obviously playing really well at the moment, having narrowly beaten Daryl last weekend and then got to the semis again this weekend making it 2 semi's in a row. Let's hope he's saving himself for the EPT next weekend.

35 runners, 5 groups of 4 and 3 of 5. Top days pool for all involved with some great stuff played especially by Martin who was flying, could be dangerous come the IPT Qualifier!!
Nice to see Gareth Esprit in winning ways, he was a true gent all day and ran his group like clock work. Could not have been a better day, apart from me winning the event!!!
Full report with pics to follow on APN.

Yeah, it was great atmosphere, too bad I myself couldn't do better than I did, my weeklong hayfever reflected in my results, 4 played, none won. Cheers for the words PC, and big congrats to Gareth and Martin. Also, best of luck on 23-25th Jun
