just browsing at the matchroom website and seen that the dates for the w/c are from sat 1st nov to sun 9th nov it also says the venue hasnt yet been decided which is fair enough,heard a little rumour that the worlds wont be in phillipines this year.can anyone shed any light on this to where abouts they might be(no guessing thanx). am sure people in the know read this site and any news will be appreciated. just like to get more info on this so myself and my friends can get an idea for the qualifers and comp itself and of course the holiday  am guessing the qualifiers might be from 23 oct to 30th oct cheers guys on any info.. ----------------- beware dangerous player on his way

Cebu will be the next venue for the world championship in 2008.
very nice city so definately worth the trip.

The qualifiers will be from the Saturday before (Oct 25) to the Wednesday before (Oct 29) with two tournaments a day.
However, there is no confirmation as to where the event will be yet, although negotiations are obviously ongoing.
As soon as I know more I will post it here.
