I've just updated the World Cup of Pool page so you can see the days when each of the first round matches are being shown. We don't know exact start times for the programmes for the last few matches but it will give you an idea. Thanks Michael. I loved the opening graphics, and I actually met the guy who designed those "ball planets" just recently!!! Personally I love the extras that go along with the actual pool, and there were plenty of "stattie" and "chattie" bits at the start of the programme to keep me happy. A good opening match too, even though the pool on display was terrible, the players looked pretty nervous but that often makes for good TV! It's never bothered me that much that the matches are in highlights format and that some racks are edited out... I've always been satisfied to believe that the editors and directors show the best racks and delete the less exciting ones, but I know there are many purists out there that want to see every shot of every rack - I just don't know what percentage of the audience they comprise, although I guessing they are a minority??? The venue looked awesome too - and a good atmosphere even though it was a weekday opening round match. If I had to criticise I'd say that the ambient sound level was a bit high as it sounded like something was being constructed in the background. I've always thought it would be great if every Rileys in the country had this on their big screens every time it's on - is there any way that could be arranged... Some sort of deal? Sometimes I feel embarrassed to ask for a pool and snooker club to show it - but surely it should be on automatically? ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

my only problem was the commentators kept going on about how they thought stephanov would do in the mosconi surely they knew at the time that it would only be televised well after we knew how well he did. if they carry on like that we will still be hearing that dazzler has no chance in the worlds in six months from now

Last week's match was pretty poor standard of pool, but it was great TV because it was tense. I've got it China v S. Africa on Sky+ but I reckon next week's match with Spain will be better as it'll have some Alcaide action in it.
