I know we may have been hear before but what do you think about the new'ish OB-1 shafts. Are they better than Predator or not?
Would be nice to hear some feedback from players that are using the OB-1 shaft now.
Earl is using one now too, seems more and more players are jumping on board the OB waggon.

I ordered an 0B-1 quite sometime ago and I think you can say it is on par with a 314.But many people still feel that a Z shaft is the most powerful.

I've not heard much about these shafts, as reguards how they play, but I do know that Grady "The Professor" Mathews uses OB-1 shafts on his cue stick and is happy with how they shoot I'm not too sure about any other players that use them, but my guess would be to check out the AZB forums to find out how they play as usually there'll be an overall review on them, from all the various posts about 'em on the forum Willie

I almost ordered one a few weeks ago, i havent heard anything but rave reviews of them on AZ. They spin the ball more apparently but they aren't much better or even better than Pred 314-2, my thinking was why buy a new shaft when it won't improve your game alot and you will have to re-teach yourself all shots getting used to it which could take months.

I have changed from a Z shaft to a OB1 shaft and I love it! It took me a while to get used to it because you get at little more deflection, but it plays great. I think it will have app the same deflection as a 314 so it is low on deflection.
But, as Willie says, its down to personal preference. Some love it and some hate it. It is different, the wooden ferrule will f.ex take away the normal shot sound..

Do you think you get more "spin" on the ball with thee OB1 (asthey claim) and if so, is it more that predator. Or can you not even see any differance?

The spin is a bit better and I dont miscue anymore. I have put on a sniper and its just very predictable. But as I said, if you're used to a Z you will need some time to adjust.
