I am looking very unsuccessfully for a one piece slate 9 x 5 american pool table, they are out there apparently, I was told by a fitter with 30 yrs experience. I need to trolley move it back and forwards about five feet when using it, could you all keep your eyes and ears open please, or come up with a clever idea otherwise. I definately need to be able to move it five feet only. Thankyou my 9 ball enthusiasts for any help you can offer. I can be contacted by pm or mobile phone (07768 881663). The only american tables that I know of that have a 1 piece slate are Diamond Smart tables, I don'tknow if the Diamond "Pro-Am" or other models have a 1 piece slate or not, perhaps someone else could ellaborate on this further? striker, thanks for responding, I may be wrong and I'm open to any suggestions, surely if you try to move a 3 piece slate table the slates will move each time giving an unlevel playing surface....? Rob

fatrob,if you get a 3 slate 9 ball table and move it constantly it will move the slates and become unlevel, therefore needing to be re-levelled nearly everytime put back into place.depending on what table it is,you will struggle to level it back up again after moving it.most tables need stripping and the re-levelling,but some can be done from the underneath with self tapping packers.but its a ball ache to be honest. whats your answer to ads question mate ----------------- beware dangerous player on his way [ This message was edited by: striker on 2007-12-07 12:17 ]

Diamond Pro Am is the answer.
A few UK (IPT players) have them.

has anyone heard of someone selling a one piece slate 9 foot table ? To answer the q of repeatedly moving the table its because I've got a british table aswell and although I can fit both in my games room I cant cue all the way round, therefore when I want to play one I need to move the other out of the way.

oh right. your best bet would be to get into contact with the leading market of suppliers and find out if any of the tables that they sell are 1 pc slate. they will know for sure and hopefully you will ghet lucky and find a few

I could ask Mr Peach for a short term loan I suppose as he is now world champ ! Anyone with any other ideas???

Look on evilbay, there are riley tables going for £450, why not get one of them, and just seach to order a single piece slate bed, and put brunswick rail rubbers on it, instead of the ones that are on those tables? They are Riley "President" tables, which were nice to play on with the flat rail tops, but their cushion rubbers were not the best. Just a suggestion Willie

There is one on ebay at the moment for £900 (i have Pm'd you the link).
I have emailed Sam Billiards to find out if this was made with a 1 piece slate or not, as somebody has already asked but the answer was a bit uncertain.

I have just had a reply from sam billiards....(i know im shocked at the speed of the reply too)
The table that i sent you the link for is indeed a 1 piece table and currently in your price range. It is coin operated but im sure that could be removed.
Hope this helps
