I'm going for Pro but I doubt I'm going to be accepted 'cos there are lots of class players better than me wanting to be in there. I'll apply to pro then let my colleagues on the Tour Committee give me the bad news

Will there be any special open events for non tour members? I will not be able to join the tour as i can only make 1 maybe 2 of the events and as such i cant justify the outlay of money, I hope the tour does do well, and i think that maybe in the future having one or 2 open events would be a way of interesting new members as well by giving them a taste of what it will be like. ----------------- [ This message was edited by: PC on 2007-11-14 12:45 ]

I ain't even sure if i'll be joining this tour as i haven't had the chance to look at the dates yet. Will decide in the next week or so. Have you got a pool comp at Leeds Rileys today Simon? if so, is it 9ball or 8ball? ----------------- Regards

pro tour costs more, and (theoretically) will consist of the top 32 players. See GB9 ball tour for all the info as i have tried to explain this to some of my mates (with no luck) [ This message was edited by: Ads on 2007-11-14 13:09 ]

Arfan, the main difference is the entry fees and the prize money and the fact the pro comp is only 32 players so good chances to get in the money. Mark, well the tour would welcome you but whether you'd hold your own we'll have to wait and see If you managed to stay in the top 80 to guarantee your place next year I'd be very impressed PC - Good question. We definately want to see open events but until the BPPPA says otherwise this is their responsibility. If the BPPPA ask us to help arrange and run them we would be more than happy to. At the moment though to be honest we have enough work on our plates getting the tour up and running I guess we'll just have to wait and see what develops here but at least we are beginning to see plenty of high quality events being staged by local volunteers (Nottingham, Solihull, Stretford & Barnsley for example).

challenge for me..for now, i would like to go on pro one but spending £500+ to get whooped most comps doesn't sound attractive..maybe in a year i'll be up to standard..and i fancy my chance's in challenge to get in the money everynow and then

thats my train of thought, if you do manage to get into the top 8 of the challenge (very very difficult by the sound of the standard of players entering) then you know that you will hopefully be able to hold your own in the pro division.

Yes Jack we have more than 96 who've filled in the form to say they will join the tour. We also have more than 32 asking for Pro and more than 64 asking for Challenge! Then you have to consider all the people I know will join but who haven't bothered to fill in a feedback form. The top 8 from Challenge get promoted to Pro and the bottom 8 Pros go to Challenge. Riggers.....Getting excited now. Just hours to go[ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-11-15 09:05 ]
