Absolute minimum required space for perfect play 7ft Table - 16ft4inches x 13ft1inches (500 x 400cm) 8ft Table - 16ft10inches x 13ft6inches (515 x 412cm) 9ft Table - 18foot2inches x 15foot5inches (554 x 427cm) I would prefer a 19 foot room length to be ideal, and more is a luxury bonus. hi paul..
just to let you know that the the size you mentioned of 20ft x 16ft is absolutely perfect.
you'd even have ample space for players chairs, fridge etc..
mine's 21 ft 6" x 16ft 6" and this size accomodates EVERYTHING !
best of luck with it and well done for finding an understanding bird.. they're a rare breed..
see you at barnsley if you there...
adam..

It looks like you will have loads of room, but generally I would say that you need to be careful when planning a pool room. The measurements that Big Dave has given here are with a cue length of 140cm - which apparently is the standard length. I have a predator 5K3 and that measures 150cm, which means that I have to add an extra 25/30 cm to the above measurements. It have used a lot of time measuring and calculating again and again as I have bought a house which I take over from 1st feb and I did not want to risk setting up the table and then not having enough room to play
