I might soon be in a position where I will be able to get a 9 foot table for home and was wondering what the Pro9ers out there think about the Dynamic II table as sold in the Pro Shop. (By the way, what's the price....?)

I've played on several Sam K-Steel tables and a few Brunswicks and am interested in your views on how the Dynamic table compares to these other models. Are they sturdy tables? Are the pocket cuts similar to a Sam table for example? How thick is the slate? etc etc

I know that the Eurotour regulars will have a fair amount of experience on these tables. Any opinions? Congratulations must go out to Mark Gray by the way!!!

I would love to support the site and buy from them so any info you can give would be really helpful.

Many thanks,
Neil

I have personally helped fit a dozen of this exact table model from scratch, straight from the boxes... (OK I did most of the donkey work) but I can tell you they are substantial and solid, well constructed, and almost like an identical clone to a certain well known table brand. When you've seen both table models "naked" the similarity of construction is uncanny, right down to the bolts, but for a much more reasonable price.

I'll admit I haven't played extensively on them, and I would be pleased to hear other members opinions on their playability and thoughts on their general pocket size.

The information requested on the slate thickness should be here in The Pro Shop by tomorrow, as will the prices.

how big is a standard table used in the eurotour for example? Is it 8 foot or 9 foot?

Is this the same as regular Rileys tables?

They are all 9 foot.

The Dynamic 2 certainly looks great and the ones I've played on play great too. Make sure you get the pockets shimmed to 4.5 inch though.

Thanks for all the replies! I'd love to come and see your table, Damian but you'd never get rid of me!

Riggers, you suggest shimming the pockets to 4.5 inch. How big are the standard pockets?

Can I order from Pro9 with different pocket openings?

From the responses so far it seems to be a good table.

Its a great table, i also have a Dynamic II table in my house and can say it plays very well. It makes me want to cry when i have to go play a tourny at a local club as the tables don't even come close to the standard of my home table (thats not to say all clubs are like this).

Also the pockets seem on the tighter side compared to the sams at club.

BTW the new Dynamic II tables come with a 30mm slate on a wooden frame.

Def the best value for money IMO, also go for the Simonis 860 cloth if you can.

I'm sorry to tease you all, but you'll have to wait one more day for the price announcement, I'm working on "Fanbanta" today and I really need to check with Andy about the price.

Sorry, but we really do have a great price on these tables - as usual it really blows the competition away - thanks for being so patient - it'll definitely be worth it.

nt..

i have just taken delivery of my new metro t.e. and i can honestly say its not only the best table i've ever played on but also the toughest test as well..

this table is available on the used market normally as a non t.e. for between £800 and £2500..

if you're looking to really enjoy a home table and sharpen your game up at the same time this would be my pick all day..

Take a deep breath...

* These tables are priced to sell and as they are nearly £500 cheaper than some of our competitors they are liable to increase in the future. To enable this fantastic price we require 1 month for delivery as the table will be imported especially for you.

**The UK Mainland Delivery price includes fitting of the table by experts at a location of your choice, but at this price it only extends as far North as Glasgow and as far South as Bristol - contact us before purchasing if you are uncertain if you qualify for this deal.

See the price here in The Pro Shop
