yeah i heard all 44 Taiwanese players dont even have to pay a penny. All expenses will be paid for by their Pool Organisation........equivalent of our BPPPA. So these players will be playing with no 'financial pressures'............

hopefully, it'll be good for the sport in this country. It'll be nice if some of our boys can beat some of the USAPhillepines player. They have dominated for such a time it is nice to see some of our lads competing with them. And if any of you face Strickland, beat him for us.
Ads......Loving it when strickland loses......and goes off on one........and the crowd tell him to shut up

machine.......thinking if he dunt get through having a right srceam.....pool is a bonus..... what I was trying to say is that the Taiwanese have an organisation/governing body helping them by paying their expenses to travel to the philippines, pay for their accomodation, food etc. This frees their mind with regards to the logistics of going to a big tournament, so all the players should be thinking of is their game. I was also trying to imply that it be great if a 'UK pool Association' can afford to send 44 of the countries best players to a qualifying tournament like that. I know Taiwan is a lot closer to the Philippines but it just shows that Taiwan's pool association is a lot more committed to the sport than other associations. Not trying to bash anyone up here, ..........just giving my opinion

Big Dave 28st 4lb ---> 25st 5lb - 2.5 months XXXXXL and still XXXXXL I think the taiwanese association are a bit better sponsored than our association, remember their pool players are very well known from TV appearances over there.

thing is thats what we need more of over here, like the idea of the uk 9 ball open. Get it televised and stuff and it'll make the game go far. Shame they had to cancel it really. Was looking forward to another trip to manchester (to watch most of it )

One is in EDSA, Quezon City, close to Star Paper where the qualifiers will be held and close to the Araneta Stadium where the main event will take place..........and the other one is in United Nations Avenue close to last years venue, depending on traffic, the two are up to one hour apart.

According to the website there are 10 events over a 5 day period starting Saturday 27 Oct and players can only play in one per day so that's a max 5 chances per player. If more players withdraw it's possible there will be more than 10 spots available. These would be given to the best losers of the qualifiers with losers earning points according to their positions in the qualifiers. Single elim, race to 7, alternate break sounds like a tough school though. Fingers crossed for Dyno. [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-10-26 14:19 ]
