Good interview! Certainly got the confidence to take pool forward.
The right person for it, it seems. I'm hoping the attitude on pro9 was just a sneaky way of getting us all to sit and watch this interview.
Good luck!

Hmmm.... According to that: Gareth is not a gambling man - yet he was the one to challenge me for absolutely no apparent reason! I was bickering and sparing for him - WHAT! Not true and he's clearly not well! When he said £2000 he meant £1000 a man - Yeh right! He'd absolutely like to play again in a rematch - Wooooohoooooo! Let's make it £4000 (That's £2000 a man in your money Darkside). Daryl is a phenomenon from Yorkshire! Never knew Blackpool was in Yorkshire LOL. Gareth's game resembles Earl's in terms of technique Awesome stuff!

Well constructed interview but still managed to get in a few dig(ger)s at riggers! Why?
Is there something we don't know? Is it because Riggers is setting up the GB9BT and Darkside is a bit miffed?? Is it the fact that Riggers is taller than him???
Anyhoo, if everything he says comes off this WILL be fantastic for UK 9-ball, as will GB9BT...
Hey guys, how about teaming up together?
Hmmm - thought not...
Reaper......just wants everyone to make up and be friends!

Hmmmm, must say Gareth is a clever bloke by the sounds of that. He knows EXACTLY what he's doing, knows what to say and how to say it.

Lee, he's realing you in dude. Hey, his blabbering and the banter don't bother me Syko. I find the banter just as amusing as the rest of you, I just don't like it when he posts blatant lies about me. But you're right, he does go about it in a clever way. I'm certainly not being reeled in but what about the rest of you?

I'm not being reeled in, but like Riggers said, he's clever to a certain extent, and if it all happens then great.
But it's nothing new.

But Gareth hasn't televised any pool matches yet. And plenty of people have ran a high end tournament like the one he is promising.
He is trying to televise matches, which i said, i take my hat off to him for. But he hasn't done it yet. Plenty of people have tried, just like he is trying to.
That's why i believe it's nothing new.

And people have been playing money matches for years and years. The only difference here is, he openly challenged Lee out of the blue here on the forum. Which made it a little more exciting than usual. All Gareth has here upto now is a vision and ideas for sponsorship and televisation (made up word?). Just like other people have in the past. If he pulls it off, it will be amazing and new I agree, and it will be all downhill from then on for UK Pool if he does attract the right sponsors like he said. But right now, his visions, and ideas, are not new. [ This message was edited by: Danny on 2007-09-04 19:05 ]

I don't think we should knock anyone for trying - and most decent business ideas are not new but just taking an old problem and making it better. I saw the whole interview (yes I was that busy!) and agree with some of what he sats but in other respects I think it can be a bit too much. Lets all hope that some of this comes off as if it does the UK will be the place to be for pool!

Hi everyone. I would love to watch the interview but my internet connection is too unreliable, it keeps freezing. Would it be possible for anyone to download it and send it to me via email. If anyone can do this please PM me and I will reply with my email address. Cheers
