If the cue has any ivory inlays/ferrules, then evilbay removes the auction, which is because of these stupid animal right characters. You can't even buy cigars on there, without the auction police bargeing in to remove them ffs. Definitely, I'll be suprised if that cue doesn't reach at least $50K

I won't reach that pal. Its a well made cue (if a little gaudy) but prices like that are reserved for deceased masters. Plus, I would want to put my $15K into a solid concrete investment such as Balabushka, Szamboti, Searing, Showman, Hercek, Tascarella, Gina. That way, I am not taking a leap into the unknown and know I will make a return on my investment.
Still, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you have enough disposable and like it, go for it. Its certainly unique. Plus Ken Kerner is one of the best cue dealers in the World.

The reason why I reckon about $50K though is because a cue like that, is liable to be purchased by some Some very rich Eastern Asian cue collector, with too much money to count, which would be a suprise to me at all.
I agree though, that something like a George, Gus, or some of the other late and legendary cuemakers, is a much better investment than this cue, but like you say, it is undoubtedly a very unique and well made cue stick.
Speaking of Herecek, did you see the "Eyes Of Piccaso" cue video on youtube?... that is one sweet cue, and I'll bet that it has a handsome ransom attatched to it's price tag.

Yes, Joel Hercek is a current master for sure. He was taught the craft by the late great Burton Spain. Burt supplied George Balabushka with cue blanks for many years, they were the best available. Joel has taken the same techniques and gone to another level in cue making perfection.
Whilst I have owned many Herceks, Joel has never made me one. I have been on his list for 4 years so my order will be coming up soon. It is going to be a show stopper.
I thought I was packing in............??????????

Ahh yes, Burt Spain, the blanks that he made were unmistakable, they were always solid and also had clean cut points, I haven't seen that many Balabushkas, but the few that I have seen, are all very nice cues, did Frank Paradise use Burton Spain blanks also?
I agree thought that Joel really is setting the standard for the really high end cuemaking, and I'll bet that you're itching to get the new addition too.
Another great cue that I know of, the "Ed Kelly" Gina cue, that is just such a sweet cue, it's a pitty thought that it's already been added to someone's collection.
