As you know i was able to reach my 2nd semi final on the bpppa tour in barnsley only to narrowly loose to the awsome fire power of Darren Appleton, great guy great player.
But to be honest it was what i saw witnessed and was at the end of during the winners side qualification round that really aroused me.

As i said to Dazzler after the game, that was match play of the highest calibre that was performing.I knew i was in top form, only to be totally disected by dazzler,i felt totally helpless as this guy performed what i can only say as a player, and pool observer was possibly the best matchplay performance i have ever witnessed any where on the planet spectator or playing.

The ravings that people talk about in regards to Steve Knight, are awsome and i as a player would have to say that if steve played to that kind of standard then he sure was a giant in the pool world in my opinon(steve was b4 my time).
sorry for the rant but sometimes as a player you have to wake up and smell the coffee, and also NO the standard being set. well done Dazzler

Is it me or is it hard to work out one dazzler from the other?

Well done this weekend by the way Gareth.

Edit - ahhh, I get it now after reading more carefully.. :)

Steve still plays! And to be honest I havent seen better in the UK, but one things for sure, Daryl, Imran, Raj, Darren etc are all great players, they just haven't made the step up to the really top level. I for one hope they do! Note, neither has the knightrider!

WOW!.....thanks Gareth matey.

Really kind words there, but like i said to you at the weekend after the match, we all have good days and bad days......that was one of my good days i guess, as was when i played Boyzi, but also had some bad days at the weekend.....against Daz in the final wasnt great and also against Si D'vali in the very first round.....

......What i am trying to say here is that we all have a "top" game, some have a better "top" game than others that is obviously true, but we all have "a bad day" too.....and i truely beleive that the best players are the ones whos bad days are still good enough to win.

Well done again mate, and hopefully you can build on that result at the weekend now and "kick on"!!!!

yeah thats so true. then when you have only an A game and a B game, you know that your B game will still win you 80% of matches, your confidence will be there to step up to your A game almost immediately

For myself..................I need to get rid of my C,D,E,F,G,H,I AND J GAME (and most of all my Z game - when your sitting in a BPPPA match and you go down 6 nil and realise youve visited the table more times than your opponent. Come on boys we've all done it, or is it just me)

with practice....itll come
