Hi all is this event still on? I'm going to be travelling south the day before so i thought i might get a b&b for the saturday night and drop in.

Is it open to all or do i need to be a tour member?

Cheers,
Dave

no you dont Dave, i think its an extra £5 though, hardly the end of the world!

Also if you have some, the SAPPA appreciate anyone who can help out by bringing their own super aramith tv balls. theres normally just enough to go round but the tour itself dont own any.....as far as i know.

I can stand a fiver lol, i just need to know its definitely on so i can start the b&b/hotel hunt for the Saturday night.

I'll try remember to load a set of balls when i head up the weekend before, i'm hoping to have a practice in Riley's Inverness the week leading up to the event.

Well its bed for me now i'm up in 6hours i'll start the search for somewhere to stay tomorrow......

(I'm really only coming for the great breakfasts you get in Scotish b&b's mmmmmmmmm Dunfermline revisited lol i might not clear a table but i'll clear a plate or two)

The event is definitely on for the 12th August in Kirkintilloch.

SAPPA has about 6 sets of Aramith TV balls plus some players bring and use their own just in case. They use about 10 or 12 tables for the event until the latter rounds.

£30 entry for non-members, double elimination down to last 16 then straight KO. Races to 6 on winners side, races to 5 on losers side. Straight KO - last 16 & qtrs race to 7, semi race to 8, final race to 9.

Any more questions, ask away and I'll try to answer.

Or you could stay at my house: Slightly cheaper, a tad less clean, 1/2 mile from the club, croissants for breakfast... nae nightclub as such, but a few of the boys are planning to kip here and I've got a right few 80's CD's in my collection... you get the picture!

As for agnes, can't help you there... Will Tam Talent do?

BS

Anyone wanting to come along can get full details by visiting the SAPPA Website.

And regarding dress code, almost anything goes - just as long as you're not wearing the same little black number that Blue Suede likes to wear! ;-) :-P

Hope to see you there on the 12th.

Best wishes

Was a good event well run and i had a great day, everyone was really friendly and welcoming, i will be going back again.

Adam smith well done mate and unlucky you played a belter and i thought you had him in the semi's.

On the reverse note well done to Michael for coming back to nick it.

All in all a good day.

Thanks guy's.

Oh i used to love irn-bru but after yesterday i think i'm done for life lol.........it was a bad sign driving past the factory on the way in.

cheers mate, even though he nicked it,
was still a cracking game to be involved in..

michael showed what a strong competitior he is and finshed the match with some solid shots under pressure.

frustratingly on a personal level i had to wait till my 1/4 match against clark smith to finally start firing which was important as anyone who knocks pat out was always going to be a handfull.

thanks to tam, blue suede, peter and all involved for making things happen again..

cheers,

adam...
