I would like to thank you Lee and others concerned for all the hard work you are undertaking to try and turn things around from the unfortunate circumstances we have found ourselves in. I wish you all the luck with the new Tour. Chris ----------------- Chris @ Pro9

Thanks Chris. I've already encountered the first problem... How to get my ISP to send an email with 2 attachments to over 200 people without bombarding my inbox with delivery failure messages to go through! I can see it's going to be a busy night!

From previous threads I remember some people saying they worked in web design & may be able to help. Please get in touch with me asap if you would be interested in getting involved. Cheers, Mike (Check my profile for email address & msn details)

I used to be a freelance graphic designer, so I am happy to do the visuals.
Coding etc would have to be somebody else as I am slow at that and don't have the time.
Let me know if you are interested.

Its called the "Great Britain 9ball tour" Both Riggers and myself will be at Liverpool on Saturday for the 8ball event there. We will be discussing lots of points to do with the new tour (between matches), so if anyone has any good, intersesting points to raise, please do so....and we will try to cover as many points as possible. -----------------

And just so people know, in addition to Dazzler we have Mike Rogers, Simon D'Vali and Shirley Ang working on the project team to make this happen. I've no doubt we will be calling on other volunteers as we go along and thankfully there is no shortage of generous volunteers. ...and I use the word volunteer because we are providing our time for free so where we need other specialist skills to help us get things moving we will look in the first place to you the players to help us out (as Mike has already mentioned re web the web site). To blatently steal a catch phrase used recently by another venture (sorry Daryl but's it's very apt) 'this tour will be run by the players for the players'. It will be a completely non-profit organisation - only Shir and her officials will be paid for the actual running of the events. We are all in it together and have to make this work. Now is there anyone out there a specialist in marketing and willing to provide their assistance If so email me! [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-07-12 10:02 ]

Hi Riggers, Just a thought ......... but ...... Big Dave is a good friend of all of us and this website goes from strength to strength on a daily basis, so wouldn't it be an idea to work something along with Pro9 ? Only a thought and you may have been down this road already I am not sure about the other members on the site, but if I want to know whats going on in the pool scene I go to Pro9. Match reports and rankings get posted on this site already so you would only need another small section for details around the "Great Britain 9ball tour". I'm sure the answer isn't as simple as that but its worth a mention. Cheers Simmo [ This message was edited by: Simmo on 2007-07-12 11:34 ]

Thanks for the feedback Simmo.
There is no doubt the continued suport of Big Dave and this fantastic site will be critical and in the UK we are obviously very lucky to have such a professional, well run and well respected resource such as Pro9.
For the GB9BT to be successful, however, certainly in the longer term, it's important to have it's own identity and website as this would be used by potential sponsors.
