1. I beleive that the bpppa will be making some major announcements at Barnsley concerning changes to next year. Is any of it actually gonna happen or is it just the annual carrot dangling which seems to make us all part with £165. 2. How can the ScottishPPPA run a great qualifier to the US open, when all the BritishPPPA can offer us is a footy scratch card. There will be no carrot dangling and we have team of people very active trying to raise our game to the next level. If you want more information send an email to bpppa at rigbys dot biz giving your name or come to the Barnsley event and introduce yourself.

The only other thing I would say is that I'm really glad to see that people are getting behind the players and the BPPPA that are working to move things forward to bring us something new for next season and your unconstructive and unwelcome rants on here are not going to change that. When you have the guts to show your face and offer some constructive help I'll start to listen to you, in the meantime I'll ignore you.

well said riggers!! this guy rants and raves to much and if hes that unhappy and wants a professional tour maybe he should put his comments in writing along with a name AND BE MORE PROFESSIONAL HIMSELF instead of going on like a kid.

Very interesting that you should crawl out from under your stone today, 412-414. Today of all days. Interesting that the emails sent out today went to 5 people only. One of which was me. I wonder where your remarkable words of wisdom come from? Hey, lets not be hasty now. I mean, your anonymous posts must suggest you have cahoonas the size of water melons and to all intents and purposes, you perhaps have something valid to say, albeit in a fashion fitting that of a retarded crazy person. Maybe I have missed something altogether. Do you actually have something great and wonderful to contribute or would you like to remain the whiney little child I am taking you for? Will you introduce yourself? Do I perhaps know you? Remaining anonymous means your comments mean JACK and have no weight to them whatsoever. Identifying yourself on the other hand would lend an amount of credence to your inane ramblings. Tell you what, 412-414....I have an offer for you...... I believe you have a rightful place on the yet to be decided Players Committee. As you have so many wonderful suggestions just waiting to burst out of your mouth, you have my vote on the said Committee. Imagine being able to steer UK Pool in an ever growing, forward fashion instead of speaking slush on the forums. Well....all this power can be yours if you simply identify yourself. Nothing sinister here, I am being serious. Hey PM me with your name if its too hard to post here. Whats its to be 412-414?.....a chance to shape UK Pool into the tour we all want to see? Or a life of anonymity and unimportant ramblings? Simon D'Vali Leeds [ This message was edited by: thediamond on 2007-07-10 22:33 ]

see you in Barnsley, hopefully make the trip, looking forward to seeing the club, heard lots of nice things about it.
Si, who cares what people think anyway - the players will do all the talking by either turning up or not. Im sure it wil be the first.
we are desperate for a tour and tournements to enter, not sure about the membership fee yet? but im willing to listen and see whats happening before making an informed choice on my own without having to let everyone and his dog about it in a forum. (just like ive done here??)
leave it wiv ya
Roll on the next tourne......

Nicely put Oz. Things are really moving now but can't say too much or will be accused of carrot dangling Will hopefully chat in Barnsley to reveal more. I believe I know who this guy is now, and am quite surprised really but, hey, who cares!

In fairness it would be interesting to get a decent answer to question 2. If the tight Scots can send someone to the US open, surely us English folk can do the same. There must be something to learn from?
As regards to 321 412 - he asks a lot of questions but never has any answers or positive ideas himself - maybe that's why he keeps moaning? It's understandable.

Destroyer - I'm been very serious here. let's take another shocking scotland example. The tennis playing Murray brothers. Jamie winning £40,000 at wimbledon. It was soooooo obvious they are Scottish. They both earn good money but won't spare a fiver for a decent haircut - now that's tight!

Safe to say we've never seen eye to eye so, though you weren't the first person that sprung to mind, now I think about it I'm not surprised it's you. And before all you pro9'ers start PM'ing me and texting me asking who it is, please don't as I really don't want to say unless he says so himself. Only 2 other people know the identity of 412-414 because they helped in my investigations. Just call me Sherlock [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-07-11 11:58 ]

Cheers Dazzler I've quite enjoyed this bit of investigative work Maybe I'm in the wrong job ...Riggers puts on Lloyd Grossman accent.... "Let's look at the evidence....." Exhibit A:On 2006-11-29 21:34 , 412-414 Wrote:!!! QUOTE !!! It seems to me that some pros don't have any patience. The only way we will ever have a competitive PRO tour is by giving people the chance to reach their potential. This is the 4th year of the bpppa and many people have attended all or most of the events. Half of the true pros have only been attending for 12-18 months and don't go to all of them anyway.
I reached the last 32 in Nottingham and to be honest the £30 didn't really get noticed but atleast it paid my travel for the weekend.
It is impossible to make every happy because we are all at different levels and have different commitments. Lets trust the tour organisers and see where we end up. Hmmmm.... last 32 in Nottingham eh? That was last November if I remember rightly. Let's have a little trot over to the very helpful Pro9 news archive.... http://www.pro9.co.uk/html/article.php?sid=298There we go, we're down to a shortlist of 16 players... No actually make that a shortlist of 5 because other information (that I couldn't possibly reveal here) tells me that it absolutely could not be 11 of those mentioned. Exhibit B:On 2006-12-06 19:54 , 412-414 Wrote:!!! QUOTE !!! I've only really been playing seriously since the bpppa although I think I may have played on the old tour years ago but got battered by dazzler!
What stands out to me from the 2 previous posts are the 4 spots for the wpc.
"The BPPPA is the world recognised governing body for the American disciplines of pool in Great Britain.
The Association is a member of the World Confederation of Billiard Sports (WCBS) & the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) through our membership with the Continental Body, the European Pocket Billiard Federation (EPBF)." Quote from bpppa website.
How can an organisation with so many supposed world connections not even provide one spot for the worlds, when a bloke called doug was doin it years ago??? Ok so which of those five could have played on the old tour (context of the thread referring to Doug's tour)? well only 2 of them so we now have our prime suspects! Exhibit C:On 2006-11-16 20:27 , 412-414 Wrote:!!! QUOTE !!! Hey Danny. Can you ask your mum and dad if they mind a few southerners having a sleep over Southerner eh? Bingo we have our Culprit! Whatever you do 412-414, don't committ any serious crimes because you leave too many clues and will surely get caught, especially if inspector Rigger is assigned to the case Was a lot of fun tracking you down though so thanks for that. I think my favourite has to be Riggule Poirot but I must admit if you could take me back to the 70s and let me be part of the Cagney & Rigby twosome I wouldn't say no! I should get away with that comment as I don't think it went out in Holland
