I just wondered if anyone knows of any 9ball/american 8ball tourneys today/tom or thurs in london or home counties area? I'm 'dan saf' 4 a few days and have lost me bearings with fixtures etc! thanks.

That sounds interesting Dave. I may be interested in going to that comp. How does handicap work exactly, also not sure how to declare my ability as I am not sure what it is ha ha!

Handicaps mean that you could end up giving an 8 rack start to 10 against a scratch player - even more in some cases. Harshest sarting handicap I've seen tho is a 6 rack start to 8 if playing a scratch player.
Handicaps are too long winded to explain online but work ok. Does mean I end up giving some obscene headstarts to more than competent players though.
Normally all done and dusted by midnightish.
Tables need recovering and levelling if I was to be critical.
Be prepared for Ian to take the chronic mickey out of anybody and everybody!

Sounds ok. I know handicaps are put in place to give everybody an equal chance so I may have a crack. Lol @ Mr Buzz, I wish I was too good Alan ha ha.
