On the 29th of June, David Alcaide will attempt to beat the existing World Record for Speed Potting on 10 tables.
The current record according to the Guinness Book of Records is 8 minutes 57 seconds and is held by Brit. Dave Pearson.
7 foot tables will be set up in the centre of the northern Spanish town of Lugo and a large crowd is expected to witness the attempt.
Daivd's best effort at this nearly impossible task was around 9.5 minutes a year ago and he is hoping to surpass that time next week.

You set up 10 tables in a liine or if you can't do that you set up less tables but have someone standing buy to rerack after each table is finished. In our cse we are going to set up 6 tables in the main square in front of the town hall.
The whistle goes and the player has to pot every ball on the table, finishing with the black before moving on to the next table. Normal 8 Ball rules apply.
And there you are, it is as simple as that only it is a killer, I have seen Alcaide flat on his back following previous attempts. I will post photos next weekend.
There are also speed records for 1 Table (26.5 seconds) and 2 Tables (1minute 22 seconds)
Pearson uses 2 tables set 6 feet apart.

Unfortunately, David failed in his attempt to better the existing record. It is a near impossible task and David went just over 10 minutes in front of a great crowd in the main square of the town of LUGO in the north of Spain. The sun was shining in this beautiful city and hundreds turned out to witness the attempt. First David warmed up the corwd with a few trick shots before making his attempt on the record. His first run was not good enough and he decided to try again but the heat and physical exhaustion beat him. There were many representatives from the press and television present and it was a great occasion.
