There's just one twist!

Brighton's Professional Pool Players Association

That's right ive had a big falling out with Riley's but im allowed to hold events at my local club!

Looking for around £200 per person in membership costs. This will be spent on the following!

£100 will go towards the new Brighton Pool Association Minibus. Gotta get good advertising.

The other hundred will be collected and be used for players to spend down Spearmint Rhino's strip club. Get membership quick as once all the seats are filled up for the minibus, u miss out!!!!!

At least u can't accuse me of not giving you a full list of the year's accounts!

8 tournaments a year at £30 a head. Single elimination. Prize money will be paid out to the person who can run a whole match out, otherwise the prize money will be going into my back pocket.

Not much unlike the euro tour with charging double the costs for a hotel room, than you would find on the internet

Anyone interested?

An interesting concept, you could be on to something here.
Unfortunately I'll have to give it a miss as I don't do minibuses and more importantly the Rileys in Brighton is run by a complete idiot with no business sense whatsoever! (Not that I'm bitter or anything)

Something is not right about Defology's new Bpppa - there isn't a spearmint rhino in brighton. I think you're having us on. You're taking us all for a ride... in your made up pink mini-bus!!

Your right expertfluke, Defology is dangling a carrot so we all get membership and then we would have found out there was no spearmint rhino! :-D

Riggers why do you defend the BPPPA so much. It was more meant for a laugh, but you do need to open your eyes, im just a realist.

I could well believe that Riley's pulled out of giving the BPPPA money for running a tournament, cause i believe the BPPPA used to get x amount for doing it, which i would also presume mean't that just paid for Ted, etc's stay. Which i have no issues with. Riley's are very tight and has been mentioned before only in it to make money, they don't care about a professional tour.

However, they do care when a tour consists of 80-100 players (back in the good days) because there club's profits that weekend will easily double. It's like a corp event to them. So why can't Ted and shirley take the money from the memberships for there stay. No one would be grudge that, even if it meant rising the membership prices up a little, i think most people would be alright with it cause a) we know where some of the money is being spent and b)we get an even distrubution of tournaments around the country.

I could go on about the UK championships but I won't, just makes me see red

I'm not defending the BPPPA at all. I want to do what I can to improve the situation and don't think this type of thread is helpful. Regardless of what you might think about the BPPPA it is still OUR pool organisation in this country so it's up to us to help it in the right direction.

And regardless of what people might think and what may come across here my eyes are wide open and I'm not as naive as you may think. I know this is not going to be an easy ride. Just because I don't come on here to rubbish Ted or the BPPPA itself does not mean I'm defending the BPPPA. I have concerns too and plan to do something about it but I'll be doing it in a different way.

If you want to have a laugh that's fine but if it's at someone elses expense you might be big enough to not hide behind a screen name.

Ok just received the info from the BPPPA, for the Seniors and Ladies european championship and it is clearly staed that you have to be a member of the BPPPA to be able to take part, so then this does mean then that as a paying member of the BPPPA that all your expenses will be paid for, I mean if not what are you paying for....
