we need people who know and play the game to run the BPPPA, i say drop the Bpppa and just get the EPT back up and running.........

Seems a sensible suggestion, the EPT takes over in all disciplines. Dazzler, what do you think?

At least we know that the people running this are open and approachable.

Lots of people want to see the EPT return but we should remember that the BPPPA is still the official UK tour and is recognised by the WPA etc. The EPT might find it difficult to just jump into the BPPPA's shoes.

Yeah it would take some ground work, but it would be far better for the players in the long run. I really think Dazzler's the man for the job.......

Nor would we want to forget Mickey's, it's managed to run quite successfully as an independent tour/set of comps so i see no reason to ditch them, if anything more input from Indy and co could be useful.

Also as for the WPA/EBPF, is there any charter/remit that the BPPPA must fulfil to be a member of those organisations? if so, it must be failing badly at doing so, is there likely to be a situation where if enough people kick up a fuss, its membership to those orgs is suspendend or terminated???

the BPPPA wouldn't be the official tour if people jump ship thogh would it, sure we could work on the WPA issue....

jsut a small point about these memberships i dont know how many of you are members already but you all seem to be talking as if its millions

lets say there are 60 members in total which is probally on the high side but that totals about £9000

now take out admin, expenses subsciptions to EPBF ect i cant imagine that ted is planning to run off to the bahamas and pull Paris Hilton !!!

i am not completely happy but there are people posting on here that are probally not members dont turn up to all events and then scream about how everything needs sorting.

Ted is "thepresident" i think on this site PM him

any one fancy the job at £175 a week less costs cause i dont

What admin costs? No admin actually takes place does it? The website doesnt get updated regularly thats for sure.
I would have thought there were more than 60 members.

And what about mentioning the likes of Dynamik, Simonis? Why would the BPPPA insist on having these logos showing at each event, if not receiving any cash for it? seems a bit strange to me.

If it is taken as expenses, they why not come out & say so. Thats half the problem - why not be a transparent organisation instead of all this cloak & dagger stuff.

BTW for £9000 he could definitely afford to visit Paris in LA county jail!

lol

i don't think the finances are the issue, some visibility would be nice, but its the balls up of the actual tour which is the issue here.

And NO, i'm not a member, i used to play on doug's tour and i was a member in the first year of the BPPPA but then i missed a few with health problems and haven't wanted to join since cos i could see it all going belly up!!
Although i do go and watch the comps sometimes if they're reasonably close (not this season though!)

If you're going to hold them on a regular basis, why not have some rankings and make it the Professional Pool Players Tour of Mansfield??

Seems to work for other comps!!

lol :-P

Goon, Cueman and anybody else that is behind me - thanks.

Riggers - it certainly wasn't meant to be personal and if taken that way i apologise. It just seems to me that EVERY player i have spoken to (probably 50+) find the general situation a complete joke. My point is that when someone is on the players council or have other connections with the BPPPA, they seem to be somehow blinded from the truth and only want to discuss things out of the lime light. ITS ABOUT TIME THAT THE BPPPA, PLAYERS COUNCIL MEMBERS AND MOST OF ALL THE PRESIDENT OPENED THEIR EYES, WERE HONEST, AND STARTED TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.
