I didn't see anyone having a go at you Michael and I think you both deserve credit for straight talking and arranging what should be a good match.

I'll sort the table out for you both for the Friday night. You won't have a choice about whether it's tapped - it will be! And for that reason you may as well rack each your own but that's for you 2 to agree.

Well done to both of you for getting this on and good luckin the match.

Phil, regarding Ben playing me I didn't see anything saying he would play in December? I assume he wants 4 months practice for that match too.

It's fair comment saying you need some time to practice and also to fit it in your calendar if you usually play another cue sport (english pool in Ben's case) but IMO 4 months is a joke and there is no reason Ben cannot be ready and find a slot in the calendar earlier than this. I'm sorry to say this 'cos I like Ben but to me it just shows they (him or his Dad or both of them) have had second thoughts and are not so confident as they were when I first talked about the match up.

Barron - in all honesty - jump shots are not difficult to learn. Also you might need to do a jump shot about once every 5 games if even that. So in theory in a poss 59 game match you might do 10 jump shots. And playing against Locomotive who likes to smash the break and leave a good open table to clear it will be even less.

Good luck to you both!

I can vouch for that...

In his match against me on Sunday, I witnessed one of the most explosive breaks I've ever seen!

Hello,

The way i look at this money match is.....

Play World 9 ball rules this saves any arguements or disagreements on the day!!

If jumping takes 5 mins to practice then you have 6 weeks which is long enough i say.

I will play with World Standard rules for £1000 at Barnsley in December!!

It beats me why a player like Ben wants to play riggers in Dec, when he wants 3 years practice to play me? :-s

Thanks Phil

3 years lol,i was under the impression that ben needed a few to months to practise to get ready for you phil, but then he said he would play riggers straight away.got my own thoughts on what they meant and if im correct in thinkin they must think riggers will be a push over.steve just seemed a bit narked about sumat, cos steve hasnt commy access hes asked me to put this on.

i get the impression that bens camp thinks this game will be alot easier that takin you on phil, spoke to bens dad and ben over a few things including bens ability and askin fro money games.ive played cuesports me self for numerous years and have had the chance to play with and against all the top boys, although i think ben is a good player he and steve needs to listen to people and take on board advice.steve is a great fellow but throws bens name around as though hes a world beater,as said hes a good lad and so his is dad but need to show respect for other players at times,it will only put pressure on ben but may cause a few people to not like them.if riggers wins it might make them stand back and realise there are other players out there that have as much talent if not more than ben, good kid so his is dad just a little respect for players is needed imho.
