Thanks simmo for running this. It's a shame more players didn't come out and support the event but it was still very enjoyable and it's good to see someone putting the effort in to organise these events. Very well organised and an enjoyable day!

Jump shot summed by day up except I wouldn't say I played well all day. Played really well in patches and threw in a few bad patches in the middle but good enough to get to semis. Against Oz I think I missed one in the first then had a half chance in the second, after that I played solid levelling at 4-4 and didn't really do anything else wrong for the rest of the match but had probs getting a good break from that rack. If you can't get a ball off the break at this game you're history! Oz played solid - missed a few here and there but played as good as he had to and was a predicatble winner. Well done Oz.

Thanks kev,enjoyed the day

Though I did not advance from the group stages, plenty of pool played in the plate phases.
As Riggers mentioned dissapointment regards to turn out, must be frustating for the organiser to arrange an event with less than half of the players expected.
Great company, friendly staff, and plenty of tables all for a tenner.
Where were you all???

Well done OZ,your usual display as always.

Thanks again Kev. see you at the next one.

OH. final word. Brilliant shot Shir, you'll never forget that one.

Mark

Cheers guys, nice day out.
Some decent match practice before going to the Euro Tour on Weds - thats the main thing.

Numbers - to be honest i think if it had have been £20 a man there would have been more interest, people just dont want to travel to far for a £10 tourne? IMO....

However we made the 280 mile round trip just because we had a nutter that wanted to drive...

Bad Luck Lee, maybe wuda won on another Day?
Well played Phil Morgan - very solid again and improving with each week that passes.

Ben, has anyone told you you look like Raj when your shooting pal? Scary!!!

One last word - Craig Dixon has the potential. Great potter, keep practicing mate - gona be dangerous on the GB9BT next year me thinks...

Cheers for taking the time to run one Simmo, good lad.

Over and out

Oz - "Off to weert to play shum pool, have drinksh wiv my buddysh, yesh!"

Glad you reminded me about that one. I'd better enlighten everyone or I'll be in trouble.

In the plate comp Shir pulled off a full table kick shot to pot the 8 ball down the rail and land plumb on the 9 to take a match out 5-3. To give you a picture of the shot the cue ball was hooked behind the jaw of the corner pocket on the head rail whilst the 8 ball was glued to the foot rail about 18 inches away from the pocket. Shir had to play off the side rail to make the shot that Efren would have been proud of.

Then, get this..... She lined up the amazing shot again afterwards to relive the moment of glory only for Mark to say 'I bet you can't get that one again...' and guess what. She stroked the darn thing straight in yet again. Unbelievable!

One thing I've learned is not to challenge Shirley 'Efren' Ang to do something, even in jest!
