i wanna play in the wolverhampton league but im struggling to find out info! phonned a few times and eventually spoke to the manager (as staff don't seem to know anything about it!) and he hasn't had any info at all on it!! bit strage as entries are meant to be in by the 5th!! last event i played in the northampton one (i live near wolverhampton!) as it was the nearest. any one know any details?? im happy to go to the birmingham one but i fear they haven't had any info to but ill try to hone them tomorrow, just thought if anyone is part of apn on here they may want to know that clubs are not getting the info, that being the cse no one is gonna join something they don't know about!!

HI Ironarm What I am listing here relates ALL west midland clubs. They have not received any information from APN-Leagues due to the fact that the region did not have a regional manager. The info packs wil be sent this week and we will be extending the closing date for all of the west midlands clubs. If you need further information then call 01305 779596 or email info@americanpool-network.co.uk

There is one in Derby at Babington lane but they are in the same boat as Wolves at present. Should be remedied this week

The clubs will not know as they have not received information as stated above. For some reason Derby and Mansfield are in Rileys West Mids region.
They are on the list to get a league it will just be delayed.
Cheers

Which APN leagues are going ahead in the Birmingham area? I spoke to the manager at Riley's Birmingham who said there wouldn't be a league as they hadn't had info and also because there wasn't any demand.

Dependant on numbers Rileys at Hertford Place in Coventry (formerly Suzy Q's) will be running a league. I am not 100% sure of the start date as we got the information late from the APN. Currently we have only a couple of players who have registered interested so anybody else in the midlands are who is interested please let me know. The league will be run on a tuesday evening.

We started our first APN league in my local Rileys at Chapel Street Aberdeen last night. Too early to say if it is a success, but certainly excellent value for the amount of pool you get for your entry fee. We have 10 players for this one, but I suspect we will attract more for the next one.

i'd settle for 10 in coventry, sounds fairly successful. When we tried to start it up last year we ended up cancelling it as we could only get 4 players. This time i have been led to believe that the other coventry club, rugby, and birmingham have all cancelled their leagues, all of which are in easy driving distance of our club so hopefully we can tempt their interetsed players over

Hi everyone, if anyone wants to discuss APN-Leagues in their area please call me as from tomorrow morning on 07789 705 446 or drop me an email at kingoftherack@hotmail.comThe launch of the January leagues has not gone as we expected (mainly my fault), however, the club managers who were enthusiastic got one up and running easily enough. We have quite a few up and running already and many who have asked for a 3-4 week extension for signing up players - mainly the North West (manchester area) and the South West and Wales regions. SkyBlueJim, can you PM me a contact number for you and I'll give you a ring to discuss. Bruno, glad you enjoyed last night! sounds like a fun league! Thanks all, Andy Jeronimidis APN

Andy,
This is so dependant on the club staff and their promotion of the leagues. Some are simply not interested in it and put no effort in.

With ironarm as well perhaps there could be enough players to get this up and running? I'll PM you contact details and ask the people I think might be interested.

It might be worth adding that some of the managers may be a little confused as to what their club is expected to provide. I was told, for instance that the players had to pay for their table time!...is this correct?... I though that was included in the entry fee.
