The snooker player is called Shokat Ali and I think he lives in Preston so I doubt it would be him but I could be wrong.

You're right. Shoka is from Wakefield, as is Adam. They are both reasonable players compared to the rest of the field but they don't play in any serious tournaments.

Barring some kind of disaster at work i should be there this week.

If anyone there is interested in the cue i've got up for trade i'll have it with me on Thursday if they'd like to hit a few balls with it.

I guess there must have been some kind of disaster then craig :(

We had some new faces at event 2, which was just as well as there were quite a few from event 1 that could not make this week. There were 15 runners in all and this week it was the turn of American 8 Ball (EPT rules).

Michael Barron made an impressive debut. He's a young kid with a snooker background and is now interested in American Pool. He's an awesome potter who runs round the table as fast as Tony! Maybe that's why he tweaked a key ball in the semi's to lose to Mark Gooder! A great talent though and there's a good chance we will see him in Nottingham so watch out.

Nick Wollerton won the event beating Mark Gooder in the final.

Thanks to everyone who attended, particularly PC who travelled from Leeds again to support the event.

Hope to see you all next week. Good luck.

Yes there sure was. :-(

I'm 100% certain that'll be there next thursday. If I'm not well, you can have my Scruggs.

What time have the comps been finishing??

I heard a rumour that a APN league had started in Sheffield. The pool hall thats supposed to have it is the worst room i've ever played in though.

Got to say i really enjoyed the comp on Thursday. Nice club, good atmosphere and some very decent players there. Lee did a excellent job of organising the comp and you get a lot of pool for your £5.

Hopefully i'll be there again in the next few weeks.
