Final Standings .pdf files now added to the article for download - some interesting statistics available such as Break and Run percentages!!! I've still got a few more results to add to the main article from the Challenge Cup. How are you enjoying The Pro Tube? ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2008-02-05 08:50 ]

I've just added GB9 Main / Challenge and Pro Cup events to the rankings animation on the right hand-side of the website... Looks really nice, and it's easy to see who is holding the top 16 spots in each event. You know what I mean, this thing: ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2008-02-05 12:43 ]

Yeah, it's actually on DailyMotion but it's the same thing, hopefully you CAN get to watch it when you get home? Bosses will block every video source eventually because they don't want you watching video when you're supposed to be working. You can't blame them really, as it also slows the network for everyone else working at the office too. Grouper looks really posh for top quality content... These videos are uploaded straight from the camera's hard-drive without any optimising or editing, so they look pretty raw, but they are a fast way of getting content onto the site (I'm having to discipline myself to just load one a day... I've got nearly 40 interviews and clips from Solihull). I'm going to try optimising a video for streaming to see what the quality improvement is like. Watch this space.

I think the pro vids are really good Dave. Keep them coming.... I would have loved to play in this new tour, but with my work rotation, its impossible to commit. A question for Riggers... Riggers, are there any opportunities to participate in the odd event , ie, are there any opens? I'm sure one of the events would coincide with my time at home. Sounds like you and the team had a very successful weekend None more so that Imran Majid! Nice to see some of the Scottish lads doing well.

OK... I've finally managed to fit the result from EVERY SINGLE match into the article now... It wasn't easy, I had to SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEZE it in there! Phew! Maybe room for a couple more photos and that's the article done... Embedding the rankings is the next job, then the press release! ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

Not quite pal, there is still one match missing from the Main Event...quite an epic as I was 7-2 down Anyway, just a thank you from me to everyone at the weekend for making this event so special. A lot of hard work behind the scenes went into it and it is clear to me that the current Committee members are very proactive...things get done! Pro Shop....well.....what can I say? How awesome was that? Well done to Dave and Andy for a superb resource. PS...the mints are nice. Andy Battams at Logo World for supplying the Tour shirts at such short notice and delivering them to my door on time......nice one pal. Well done to all the finalists and players for turning out and showing support. Lee and Shir.....I love you guys, you know that. The weekend was a credit to you both. Just as a side note......Lee is really sick at the moment, it came on Sunday night (he was exhausted). He will be unable to answer any questions until at least the weekend. So if there are any immediate questions, please forward them to myself and I will do my best to answer them. Cheers Si

You know what I mean, this thing:

Dave, Is there anyway to pause or step through these rankings list? You have to wait ages for it to go through all the countries until it get's to the one your interested in and then it changes before you've had time to digest it all! Yeah Daz, the new players are a lot more shy than you celebs who are used to the camera, hopefully they'll warm to the camera at Croydon because I know what you mean! Cueman - no, there's no way to slow the rankings graphic down or anything although I'm designing it so that when you click on it you'll be transported to a page that will have more complete info on all the rankings, but it's still very much in the planning stage at the moment (although you could have a peep at article number 200 which is where I prepare the graphics - http://www.pro9.co.uk/html/article.php?sid=200 ). Enjoy! [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2008-02-05 19:00 ]

How about having a mini tournament for people out of the main event where the winner gets a shot at commentating for the final of the main event? I'm not sure if you have a main anchor for commentating but this would be fun idea for guys fancying being the next Sid Waddell. I'm sure plenty of lads would do a great job.
