First of all may I send belated congratulations to all the people behind the new GB9 Tour. You have done a fantastic job. With so much organizational talant, it will only be a couple of years before American Pool is outshining snooker on our television screens. Well done to all of you.

Due to your success it seems you are well oversubscribed. Is there any chance that you could open up the field even further for 2009, thereby bringing in more prize money and making it even bigger than it is now?

If all goes to plan we expect there to be 24 places available for non tour players to be able to join the tour next season, plus additional places if any 2008 players who qualify for 2009 decide not to rejoin. So there will be plenty of opportunities for people to join the field of 128 via the qualification events.

If there is still a lot more demand than that I'd personally like to see a complete structure put in place involving local and regional tours, which will hopefully link into the main tour in some way. I know Rileys are very interested in investing time and effort into something like this so we'll need to see where this takes us but, as theDiamond says, the future is very bright indeed.

Fantastic stuff Lee and all involved

Absoloutley brilliant job - we have not had a buzz like this regarding a new tour for as long as i can remember. And WHAT a field of talent, in both divisions really.
The Pro tour is just looking soo tuff that if we are being honest, winner break race to 9/10 is gonna tuff to call! -
Same in Challenge - i had my own ideas of who would be favourite to win but once again there are quite a few players capable so - its there for the taking!

good luck to all - great job again, lets just hope that all involved come up with the goods when it comes to paying the 2nd instalments etc - thats going to be key in keeping this tour a success IMO.

if your a player - dont let the tour down!

Ossie - As someone once said famously "Seasoning...." ;)

yeah it should be a cracking set up. The way it has all been presented (as in the website) should make it promising to get a sponser. I hope this does happen as it would certainly give the tour some good exposure.

Lee,

What time will we have to be at tournaments starting from the one after solihull on the friday?

30 Minutes before your match. Check seeding system and match schedule to find out when you might be playing.
