The buffers have got a life of their own!
I tried the bucket project and gave up. I paid my old man to fashion a sturdy wooden frame to hold the buffer and then slid a bucket with the bottom cut out over it. A crude contraption but it certainly does the trick.

Yeah, I just spotted that too... It looks like it's the ideal thing to get rid of those blue spots on cue-balls... It'll be in the next delivery!

yea kool, i havent cleaned mine for a while, i spoke to saluc about it and they gave me an email address to send my enquiry to, although i deleted the email because i had read it in a drunken state. So i have emailed them again and am waiting a response.
