As we say in Spanish...... impresionante!!!! I am not going to add my two pennyworth to this thread as it is a futile exercise except to say that I can see no reason why O'Sullivan should be in a Mosconi Cup Team. I am sure that the ratings do not suffer because he is not a member of the team.

If the Europe team needs a player with class and a bucket full of bottle then Daz Appleton should be considered.

I agree Daz maybe the cut off should be after the swiss eurotour this gives players who missed Spain the chance to play six events.I also think that the formula for picking the team should be in place for next season so players no where they stand.

QUOTE !!! why aint there no women mosconi cup I have never been a follower of the Mosconi Cup, because it just doesn't capture my interest that much, compared to other major pool tournaments, but I don't see why there can't be a female player, after all, we have Michaela, who is undoubtedly the best referee out there If female players are/were permitted to play, then my tem selection would be the following:- Fejin Steponov Souquet Peach Jasmin Ouschan And Daz Appleton If no female players are permitted, then my selection would be :- Fejin Steponov Souquet Dazzler Daz Appleton Nick Van Den Berg Willie ----------------- If ya got 'em, smoke 'em

There were four female players in the very first Mosconi Cup, Allison Fisher and Franziska Stark for Europe and Jeanette Lee and Vivian Villareal for the States. As I remember this was the only time that the fairer sex had representation in this event.

Nice picks Willie. I definately think Jasmin should be given a chance and it should be good for ratings too. Can you imagine watching her win a crucial match on the last day against one of the yankee big guns like Archer, Duel or Morris? Would be awesome!

Nice one Daz Just when we were all kidding ourselves about what a good team we could put together you have to go spoil it by bring us crashing back down to earth. I think we have a long way to go before we'll ever be a match for that team!
