Yes, if you haven't done so already, it's time to get a real job. All this talk of 'Professional' pool is just a pipe dream at the moment and is likely to stay that way unless the sport gets greater TV coverage and is presented in a way that excites the audience.

Regardless of the situation with the Eurotour or whatever tour, without outside help (corporate sponsors) and TV coverage the game will not progress. However the problem lies in the fact that there is so much politics and bickering in the game.
If I owned a big corporate brand I would not want my name associated with the sport due to the above.
It takes professionalism from both the organisers and the players - plus a settled structure to interest big corporate bodies.
Barry Hearn, in my opinion, has got it right with the way in which he presents the sport and with Matchroom events at least players know they are getting paid and can earn a reasonable sum.
I don't like the invitational nature of the events they promote but at least there is action and top players presented in a professional manner.
If the Eurotour is looking to develop - great - but it needs support from the playing body, ok they could be a bit more open but if the game improves as a result then it is a bonus in my opinion.

I knew that mate and I agree with Machine, the players know the organisers make a buck and are rightly entitled to it for all the hard work and hours they put in - no one is denying them that.
But what is definitely not right is the Euro Tour is supposed to be run for the EPBF and it's players and not as a business - if it is a seperate business then treat it as such and don't push/force the players to choose over an independent organiser and the so-called EPBF Euro Tour which is in fact independent of the main organisation otherwise why make it a business?
Oh and another point, if it is classed as independent why can they issue letters on behalf of the EPBF?
Surely you can't have both of them operating under the same roof?
So can someone tell me where all the monies raised in member and entry fees for the EPBF events (not Euro Tour) go to?
Is there a set of published accounts for the EPBF that members can see online?
If the Euro Tour is as successful as what they claim, then why the letter in the 1st place.....? If it's very good with plenty of prize money then the players will stay with them so they have nothing to worry about.
