Wow, haven't seen Kevin Hew for a year, turns up and robs the comp. Well done mate.
Big up to my good friend Lee Rigby who had his first semi-final. Played great pool all weekend including Friday night at the Leeds Grand Masters qualifier where he lost 8-6 in the final to a very game Kevin Uzzell.
Big step forward in your game mate, well done and keep it up.

Thanks Diamond. The game against Ozzie was one to forget for me cos I just couldn't get started but other than that I'm really pleased with how I played for a change. Seem to be getting over those psycological barriers that so many of us struggle with when new to tournament conditions.
Congratulations Kevin.

Yes well done Riggers.....you took some good scalps this weekend! I lost to James Kay 9-7 after been 5-0 down.....and to be honest, the he was playing i fancied him to win his first event! But not to be, well done to Ozzie for a good tourny, and a very well done to the ever consistant Kev Hew on a great result! All in all a good event, shame about the lack of entries (62) but apart from that it was a very enjoyable weekend! Well done to Shir and Ted. (plenty of well dones!) -----------------

Well done to Kev and Craig, player of tournament for me has to be Riggers in reaching his first semi/final which included the scalps of Andy Worthington and Irelands No1 Paddy Mcloughlin! I have to agree with Daryl that it was a shame about the low turnout which i think is definately due to every event being in the same club at the moment!! hopefully this will change in the near future,on the plus side tho i think the new ruling on the break worked very well and on a whole this makes the game a lot more exciting to watch rather than watching a soft break! Thanks to Shir and Ted for another good comp see you all soon, Mark.

Hi everybody!!! Just a short message to thank everybody for coming this weekend and for the things that have been said... Sorry that I wasn't there Sunday but couldn't get the day off... (Got a real job now so it's more difficult to get weekends off now) Also want to say that things are changing... Slowly but they really are... I hope that the players have got the patience to wait... Next season things are going to be much better... For this season I'm planning to give players a chance to get used to a new thing every tournament... Last weekend is was the new break rule and when you left the club you had to come to me so I could keep track of it in a way.. Just wait please... Things are gonna improve soon.... Trust me... Well done to Kevin Hew for winning after deciding to come and check it out... Same to Ossie.. Hope to see you both more often at the tournaments... Well done James... Sounds like everybody was playing very well... Very proud of Riggers.. Told you so!!! [ This message was edited by: shir on 2007-03-05 09:22 ]

Glad to hear everyone had a good time at the latest event... And special thanks to Ted for forwarding this charming photo of one of the players who stayed overnight at a friend's house in the guest/childrens room! Hmmm... I wonder who that is with all the Teddies?

cheers Mark, Cheers Shir, Cheers Daz. playing some solid stuff really. Kevin just blew me away in the final, he got some run early on that gave him a 6 rack advantage and i just never recovered from that. he grew in confidence and as most people found on Saturday and Sunday, When Kevin Hew is flying he is dangerous. Fair play to him, i have no complaints. i had my fair share of run to get to the final as i think we all need at times if we are going to win a tournement but i just ran out of it in the final. good tourne well ran and well done to Kev, couldnt have lost to a nicer bloke. well done m8. by the way - i am putting alot of this years "form" down to the coaching i have been getting from Alan Bell, he used to coach Jimmy White for 8 years and took him to 3 world finals. if anyone is seriously interested in improving their game - i reccomend a few sessions with Alan anytime. cheers Ossie
