Just to clarify, last year the EPT made a loss of over £6,000. I know this is not a lot of money in real terms but its a loss...we expected this. The last 2 of the 3 events that we ran had 102 and 92 entries, and this is a big factor in this years events. The total GUARANTEED prize fund for each event is £7,300, the reason the "top" prizes have gone down slightly is because we believe that our events should now pay down to the last 32 because we want to offer as much VALUE to EVERY player that enters on of our events. Now, for us to clear the GUARANTEED prize fund we need to take 81 entries at £90, and thats before our expenses for actually running the event! Now if we reach the 100 entries mark, then the prize money will increase significantly...the winner WILL receive £2,000, the Ru-up £1,000 etc AND we will still pay down to the last 32! Lets say there are 90 entries and the 100 entry mark isnt met, then the money left over will go towards the next event to boost the money...so it will ALL be going back in one way or another. Even though Mark or myself arent in this to make any money from it, the tour needs to actually pay for itself because at the end of the day, its not a charity! The events as players have seen for themselves are run as good as possible with the resourses that we have at the moment, and further down the road we want to hold EVERY event in hotels. At this moment in time, i am in talks with 2 possible sponsors, and if 1 or both of these come off, then this will change things for the better. ....And dont forget the end of season "grand finals"event......we are looking into the costs of holding this in a top hotel with major prizes!....like i say on the EPT web site its in the early stages but things are looking good. I hope this explains the slight changes, but we beleive they are for the better. ----------------- [ This message was edited by: dazzler on 2007-01-01 18:47 ]

Can't say fairer than that Dazzler. As long as people know where they are, then you are on to a winner. I'll hopefully give the London / South / Harrow a go. Good to see 80% of your EPT comps aren't in Manchester unlike some tours!!

Yes the draw will be done live as last time as it was a big hit with everyone involved. Dave, nice flag mate! ..........Listen everyone, lets get this tour as big as we can......any of you who are/ have already entered the first Event, could you print a copy of the Flyer and put it up in your club.....or tell anyone you know about the EPT and point them in the right direction. At the end of the day, the more the players the more the money to go back out. -----------------

Just a reminder that if anyone is thinking of sending a cheque, then make sure it gets to me before the 31st as this is the closing date and the draw will be done live on this site and the EPT site on the Thursday 1st Feb. Thanks, -----------------

Great staff Dazla!!! I'm getting really excited about pool again now... after the death of the IPT. Still hoping to get some money back from that... but hey... Things have changed over here in snowy Switzerland, so now I will be able to play the first EPT event of 2007! So horray for Liverpool. Looking forward to seeing all you british boys again soon. Can't wait to hear more about your sponsorship deals Daz! Happy New Year to you all.

!!! QUOTE !!! ...18 tables that will have brand new cloth ready for the event! Great news that Rileys are going to re-cloth all 18 tables for this event. That sounds like a big investment on their part in a fairly new club but it seems a bit strange when they have decided not to support the BPPPA anymore. If it's anything like Solihull (where they apparently made a similar promise) I'll believe it when I see it because several of those tables were still in very bad condition. Yes Riggers, a couple of the tables were a bit bare.....but i beleive that there was a massive improvement from when we played a bpppa event there only a few weeks before!....like 200% improvement! EVERY EVENT of the EPT will have reclothed tables this year! .....So the conditions will be as good as possible for the UK at this moment in time. And for it being "strange".......not at all.....i guess Rileys want players and people at events in bigger numbers....and thats what the EPT has done upto now. -----------------
