we wnet there with understanding of 2 guaranteed games 1 8ball and 1 10ball 10 clear head sets..

10k a time

when got there every goal post was changed

very long story but to say we wasnt happy was a understatment we were shafted basically

so silly fools we are we played into there hands and got stung wont happen again
mexican and his backers are no the best bunch of ppl and got bad reputation in new york so if anybody comes across them stay away!

going derby city supposed to be awesome there...

I would love to go on the road in the US, not just to shoot pool, but to gamble and just to be able to visit all the best action spots :)

Pretty much all of NY, FL and IL states are full of constant action :), New Orleans, is a real hot spot for high action also :)

Daz, Which room did you play in, when you were at NYC? :)

What about Chelsea Billiards, or Amsterdam Rooms in Manhatten? :), there's plenty of good action there :), OR if you didn't get action there, you could've drove the extra few miles to Syracuse or Philly :)

Ah yes, I keep forgetting that the Amsterdam room had a new owner a few years back :)

It sounds like Syracuse or Philly might've been a better option for you, maybe on up into Canada, to Toronto :), but yeah, there are times where it can be a nightmare to get action :)

A few players I know about in the CT area are Bobby Hunt, Terry keith and Mike Keith,Bobby Hunt been the most dangerous, experienced money player, this is what he does for a living, these guys go to Crown billiards in New England,I`ll do some checking up on details.

Unreal that great players such as Ginky and Hernandez looking for spots but even worse that they got you up there and changed the arrangements. Not uncommon in our world for sure. A few years ago, Steve Knight and Andy Richardson were on the road in the US and word spreaded quickly of chance of getting some action around the country. An offer came in for Gerry 'The Ghost' Watson to play Steve Knight in Canada for $100,000 straight up, level. They went up there only to find he was being backed by some 'undesirables' and the level spot changed to Gerry wanting the 8 and the breaks.

Steve and Andy had enough experience to get out of there, thick and fast. No question that Steve could have given him the 7, but on Gerry's table, in his own room with the local mob backing him.......nobody needs that action.

I saw Hernandez mash Efren pretty bad a few years ago with my own eyes. Sad state of affairs when these 'top' players resort to these tactics just to tempt you into a game. Dyno, play him level next time and let him have it.
