I don't know what Darren Appleton has to do with it. He lives in Pennsylvania, and his table is in his pool room at home. Congrats to you on your playing and affiliation with this club Matthew, but the guy I met (Tall bald guy - maybe that was George) was a D I C K and there's no other way of saying it. Should not treat potential new customers like that. Maybe he was just on an off day, we all have them... and maybe so was I. But he certainly made my day worse for meeting him.

It is Daz's table regardless of where his home is now. That was his table and was put in the club before he went to the states and when he comes back to the UK that's his practice table. I don't often jump on here to respond to comments, but George is a good bloke and I have a lot of time for him. I'm sure a lot of the wheel chair players would agree with me on this one as a lot of their tour events are held at the club. I travel from Leeds to Barnsley to play pool in a good pool club and I would recommend the club to players. -----------------

Smartwood at Liverpool's Rileys you can play on any table dont matter what cue youve got. I ve been playing my Poison cue and owner said nothing so far. Also Tony runs copms in there so thats an opportunity to go and have a knock

Not sure if it is that an unreasonable request to play on the best table? I mean it wouldn't take long to notice if he was mistreating the diamond and ask him to move. think the guy could have been given a chance as he seems like he wants to be a serious player!

Well George, I wanted to be the bigger man and say that I was wrong in what I said, I criticised you without knowing you, (the wheelchair crowd seem to be sticking up for you so you can't always be that bad) when I should have been critical specifically of your actions or just like a good little lamb shut up altogether, but unfortunately your reply further reinforces my previous comments. @panther - it wasn't an unreasonable request, I even offered to play him on it... it was the attitude that got me. My comment about having a predator cue wasn't to be in any way cocky, rather to say 'look dude, i'm not gonna spend a grand on pool equipment if i cant take things seriously... but he immediately took it as an excuse to see who could go to the bathroom the farthest. 'well I've got a predator ikon too!! "and if you want to play on those 3 tables its 3 times the price as i just put a better cloth on them... well slurp it up, welcome to the world of investing in your business. you've still only got two customers and this one's walking out. Just no need for it that's all. Yes I am serious. No, I don't like insulting people for the sake of it... @sinnerro - thanks for the invitation mate @PC - thanks for the info. This information was not given on the day. First impressions I guess. Maybe next time I should cover up the spiderweb tattoos on my forehead. and i must apologise... we seem to have gotten a little bit off topic. My advice would be to let your Pool do the talking, people will soon take note and respect you for being a great Pool player as you rack up the wins. Nothing wrong with confidence but take your time and don't burn bridges.

@tonyponty - ah well, looks like we just got off on the wrong foot I wont bear a grudge if he doesn't haha theres not so many of us we're bound to bump into each other quite often @mal_clarke - sounds like good advice @sinnerro - what's Liverpool Riley's like... from what I can gather Rileys went into administration and a load of clubs shut down or rebooted under new management... the Rileys sign was still up outside escape but I guess they don't have anything to do with that club any more.
