pro pool players who play pool for a living are not interested in 30 quid for last 32.id be shocked if they were, there for that leaves players who have fulltime jobs to pay there bills and are not relying on the bpppa and all other comps to pay there way,who actully thinks its good to recieve 30 quid for last 16

I know. Lets ban all non full time pro's from the bppppa!!! Then the prize pot will be about £200 so the winner is gonna get about £60. Would that make you happy?
Its the average players entry fee that contributes to probably 90%+ of the pot so I think its only right that they have something to aim for.

surely all players who enter a tournament are in it to win it why bother if you dont want to win i would be amazed like Karl is if a player is happy with reaching the last16/32.
Ok the other argument is if you starting out then yeah i suppose reaching the money rounds is an achievement but why enter if your not confident in going all the way.
At the moment i am just getting use to the game but i enter to test myself against the best like Karl, Mark and Daryl this only makes you learn from the experience and in time can make you a better player.
Reward the winners with more prize money thats what i say....
they deserve it!!!

yeah course its good playing against the top players but these are the players who practice every day cos they are full time etc and obviously they deserve to be where they are....but everyone is disputing the prize money so when the % of non full time players is higher than the full time player s i think its only right that the prize money is distributed out more evenly.

The thing that stands out to me about this is that when the last 32 didn't get paid we moaned, now they do get paid and we moan. If I was Ted or part of the bpppa I think I'd be banging my head against a wall.

It seems to me that some pros don't have any patience. The only way we will ever have a competitive PRO tour is by giving people the chance to reach their potential. This is the 4th year of the bpppa and many people have attended all or most of the events. Half of the true pros have only been attending for 12-18 months and don't go to all of them anyway.
I reached the last 32 in Nottingham and to be honest the £30 didn't really get noticed but atleast it paid my travel for the weekend.
It is impossible to make every happy because we are all at different levels and have different commitments. Lets trust the tour organisers and see where we end up.

Totally disagree with a more top heavy payout structure. Perhaps if the tour were paying prize money out of sponsorship monies then that would be more justified. But that is not the case and at present the majority of players that contribute to the prize pot do not reach the last 16 or beyond on a regular basis. So paying down to the last 32 with the increased prize funds is totally and utterly the right thing to do regardless of how little the last 32 get. Even if it is just a token payout it says loud and clear this tour is not just about redistributing money to the regular high finishers, and values every member and tournament entrant.
Yes the 'poorer' players get a chance to play against the 'cream' but I don't think they want to pay for their status as full-time pros. That is not what a non money added tour is about.
There is a bigger picture here - have a look at it sometime.
Regards,
RT

Have to go with danny on this issue, the collars are too stiff on the Versace shirts, also the abilty to stretch is impeded by the flawed 80's throw back trashy style. I'm not sure what the answer is but I'll have a word with my mate on the market and see which range recently 'fell off the back of a lorry' and get back to you.
PS: Paying the last 32 is a nice token gesture - but does it make players hungry to win or play better? Or is reaching the the last 32 enough glory? Will it improve the UK standard against say the Europeans? What about Ralph Lauren or those colourful shirts by George?
