Shane told me that it was 3000 Peso and and 20,000 Peso which to me converted would be around the £400 and the £2,000 mark...!

No Si,

£1 = 100 pesos (97 to be exact)

so 30,000 peso = 300 pounds
and 200,000 = £2000 pounds

trust me, i spend 6 months of the year in the Philippines

Ok so it's back to the original story then. Sounds like he beat Efren then another top filipino and has so far made around the equivalent of £8k. Good to have it cleared up. I hope the person who privately said it was garbage would register on here and explain why he said that.

Ahhh!!! Thats where the confusion is!! Daz said 30,000 pesos equates to £3k ie 1:10, where as its actually 1:100. I hope he knows that, he, he!!!

LOL! So you think he may be celebrating winning £3K when in fact he only won £400? If that's true I can't wait to see the look on his and Lefty's face when they get to the bureau de change :D

I don't really want to get involved in all of this..
I'm not going to mention any names..
but he does read this forum I think..
Can't think of a reason why he emailed me about this...
But somebody sent me an email:
Hi Shir
Where are you getting this garbage about Darren.
He has only played two money games
Jeffrey de Luna (lost 13-15) for low stakes
One Side local house pro which resulted in a 14-14 draw then the carried doubling the money ti 30k pesos
He has not played Efren,

Already mailed back but no reply yet....

Daz is obviously near a computer!

Text just came in now (turned it into English, it is written in text speak:

....'I am playing for £2,000 GBP tonight. Played Efren for £100 GBP and last night for £300 GBP....'.

So there we go.

Si

so going back to the original story do you think:

a) he beat efren for 500 pounds
b) he beat efren for 5000 pounds
c) he beat efren in a friendly
d) he did not beat efren at all

From the horses mouth (and daz does look like a horse), he beat Efren 9-7 for £100.

He is now in the middle of the big match with Jeff Deluna (so why he is texting is beyond my comprehension :-o )

Daz was 6-1 down and 9-5 down. He has just ran a 4 pack to go 10-9 up. Don't know what the race is to.

Now can I please get some work done? :-D

Diamond (signing off)

doug must be busy viewing other things ha if he think his info is right!!lol

right here goes

i played few small games when i arrived and won a few of them..

then i played efren for 100pound ..there money about 10,000 which is worth a lot to them obviously not efren..

but i won the match on merit i made one mistake and so did efren.. i just broke better and took all my chances and won 9-7 was great experience and am playing him again in 3 hours for 200pound race to 15 ish..

i played another top young filipino breaks like busta prob better jeff de luna we played 300 pound english few night ago i played shite so did he i had chance to win at 14-13 up but missed diff one ball.. and lost 15-14 ...

playd a guy day after for same amount another filipino

we was 14-14 for 150 pound race to 15..

his backers come acrorss and said start from 0-0 race to 17 and double money up to 300pound..

i agreed with a smile and won 17-14..

last night i played jeff de luna again for 1500pound..
race to 30

i played solid made 2 or 3 bad mistakes ..but felt he got the run of the balls 70% of match...

i was 22-15 down 28-21 i got back to 28-28 ..then broke dry he cleared and then broke cleared cheers!! 30-28

hope this clears it up...

ill play him again after worlds for 3-5 k english but ill play head set next i prefer that to straight race!!

anyway thanks and hope it clears it all up..

ps its wierd even though only play for 200quid etc it feels like more coz obvoiusly its a alot of money to these filipinos ...and while we are here it is for us too ...

more fun and games to report later.. :-)
