Thanks everyone for all the messages. Just got to say a few words about the tournament: It was definately the best BPPPA tournament ive played in so far and i think all the other players would agree with me? The tapped tables is a massive step forward and the alternate break means players of all standards are in with a chance which has to be good for the game, also having a time schedule is a big plus to.With all of these improvements in place i think we will start gettin a 100+ entries again (there was 82 in M'chester),and finally to have TV exposure was superb,no matter how big or small this has to be good news for the future of 9-ball pool. Cheers everyone, looking forward to see you all in Solihull next weekend, Mark.

Soz to take it just alittle bit off topic but after the final a few of the lads hit the town afterwards and Paddy Mcloughlin had a rather interesting night i cant stop laughing about it.... but you have to ask him what happened its hilarious not only was he caught snuggling up to a teddy bear at Adam Jackson's house but this as well. Clue for ya 'Lily Savage' lol Adam any chance of the pic of Paddy and the teddy bear?

I'd like to echo the sentiments above - well done to Mark. Awesome pool all day Sunday and he plays the game in the right spirit. Lots of players could take an example from him.
Well done to the BPPPA for a great tourny as well.
Regards,
RT

One of best finals i have witnessed at 8-3 i thought it was all over but then as he did in the previous rounds Andy gets his confidence and self belief levels back up he just doesn't miss a very talented player not sure what would have happened had he not scratched off the break at 8-8 as his mementom disappeared and Mark gained the initiative and got back in front but fair play to Andy he dug his heels in and thought back to 10 all but then i thought his fightback was complete til whatver happened with the 3 ball. A really good tournament again and the venue was superb hospitality was brilliant as usual just like to say thanks to Ali and her staff on another great event held at Stretford. Looking forward to playing at Guildford. [ This message was edited by: crashnburn on 2006-10-09 14:06 ]

Yes - I watched the 5.25 showing it was about 30 seconds and a quick chat with the finalists. Nice little bit of TV for starters.

Well done Mark, i dont know how the rankings go and whether he has a WPC spot? but hope he has one itching to see him take on the worlds best.
Ive got a reel good feeling a Brit will go a long long way if not win it this year.
Mark Gray? Darren Appleton? Daryl Peach? Imran Majid?
