well you are right.even me and my mates are not impressed with the crowds cause they are too noisy(children and parents).it's pretty obvious that they dont now anything about playing pool much more the etiquette.you can tell that im supporting phillipine team but i have great admiration with all the teams involved and also to watch how the pro. play.i did really enjoy it even though i manage to go there during the start of the quarter finals.my sitting beside crashnburn who seems enjoying the game.most of the phillipine fans are so hype they cannot control their emotion.i think the reason why they dont watch other games is that they are busy taking care of their children(feeding them!!)and majority of them are on duty(90%) are nurses.anyone who will watch the next wpc in taiwan(2007)?i need to start saving now for my ticket and accomodation !!!
ps. to pete of billiardsboutique.com ,im enjoying using the jump cue and the fury cues i bought from your stall at wpc.

As soon as Efren played that shot USA were never going to win. Earl thought it was incredibly disrespectful, somehow. Thing to remember is that it's all mental at that level - especially on those tables and when 'The Pearl' involved. On another note Earl was hilarious. He stood outside the venue for about 3 hours telling random stories to folk all week.

Matchroom made some amateur mistakes. It only took 1 of Newport's local chavs to find out that the tickets were free and they would get a buzz off sending 10 tickets to each person that lived on their street! They should have made them a couple of quid each – the same people would still have gone and we wouldn’t have had to put up with about 20 kids running about in-between as well as DURING racks! I knew people who didn't come because they were told there were no tickets left. Anyway why the the devils playground Newport Gwent - felt 3rd world? I felt a bit embarrassed for the players.

Finally, I wasn't impressed by the Pilipino fans. I watched 90% of the games that week and whenever the Philippines were about the venue they would ONLY come to watch their guys play. Clearly the majority had absolutely no interest in the pool whatsoever and just wanted to bask in the presence of Efren and Django.

look everyone be happy u can play pool because its so sad to see everyone complain!!! u should be happy u can hold a cue because i have seen boys and girls who are unable to hold a pool cue!!!! if sollihull isnt up to ur standard dont bother going!!! i see the effort that daryl (ept) etc is putting into the tour and to be honest its very unfair!!!! if your good enough u can play on any tables

Hear hear Pat!

Far too much complaining going on!

What's with these people?

We should think ourselves lucky that someone is running events.

If you don't like the less than perfect conditions then don't go, that's what I say!

Or run one better!

No one is stopping you!

Jon.
