A small update for everyone.....

Mark Gray beat James Kay in quarters 9:7.....he now plays winner of Valentive and Appleton. Last count Darren was 7:6 up.

I think Raj is playing Imran in other semi......but dont quote me on it.....phone line was a bit crackly!

I had an extremely bad day at the office mate. Twice. Lost 9-2 to Adam Clarke in main event 1st and 9-3 to Damian Massey in the challenge event. Not the greatest draws as both have been FT pros but I did get chances on their break and just played awful. Shocked me just how bad I was so its back to the drawing board. I'm down for Nottingham on 17th but I'll be hopefully making amends next time. The good thing is its not got me down more spurred me on to do better.

Ta for asking mate I was pretty anonymous this time!

Wow, looks like Imran really loves this new format. Great effort to get to the final of the main event as well!
I thought he was going out at the semi final stage of the Pro Cup when Craig Osbourne only had two balls left at 8-8 but the pool gods through in final twist.

Please accept my apologies for the tardy timeliness of the reports and results from Solihull. I appreciate we've become accustomed to expect fast results, but for reasons I won't bore you with I was unable to provide the usual service in a timely fashion.

I'm sorry.

However, I DO have some great photos (uploading now), the full results from every single match (coming soon) and a super new feature of fun videos clips from the event, available within a new section called The Pro Tube (uploading a new video clip from Solihull each day this week).

I'll also be uploading the new rankings and the formal press release from the event when they become available.

I'd like to personally thank all the people who helped support the GB9 tour event by purchasing something from The Pro Shop - we had a great time chatting with people at the stall and we hope you found something useful for your pool arsenal. We'll be coming to all the GB9 events this year, so if there's something special you'd like, drop us a line and we'll see if we can help you out.

Thanks to ALL the GB9 staff who did a great job this weekend, I'm "over the moon" about the Pro9 logo on the sleeves of the tour shirts (wear those with pride) and thanks to the fantastic staff at Rileys for looking after us (special thanks for posting my mobile phone back to me).

Can't wait for the next one!

All the best,
Big Dave.

Many congratulations to Imran Majid and Thomas Ainsworth Smith on their impressive victories this weekend.

I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who made it so successful especially Big Dave & Andy from the Pro Shop, Cuesport TV and Ann, Steve and all the team from Rileys Solihull who looked after us so well. And of course an enormous thanks to Shirley for making eveyrthing run like clockwork just like it always does when she's in the Tournament Directors chair. You cannot imagine how hard that job is and the personal sacrifices she makes for us to bring us these events. I think she's going to have to take unpaid leave from work this morning to try and recover.

There's so many more people to thank but we are both very tired now and will post more including updates on the GB9 site regarding rankings and press releases later this week. In the meantime I know Big Dave will keep you all furnished with results and information.

Thanks for all the kind words everybody, it means a lot to know the hard work is acknowledged and appreciated.
