cheers mate i could have wrote a lot more but that was it in a nutshell i paid £580 for my flight and i booked 3 days before i went, might get it for £500-£550 if you shop about i went with etihad airways biggest airline in the united arab emirates, all food and drinks including beer and wine were free, drink as much as you liked as long as you werent hammered they kept bringin drinks around, never been on a flight like that before and was well impressed.about 100 films to choose from, games, puzzles, comedys and hundreds of albums to choose from, also like a games handset to use while play asteroids or one of the games lol.nearly jizzed in me trackies at the air hostesses before i even got there, simply stunning then foreign chicks ha ha. we just got flight and sorted rooms when we got there, stopped in eurotel and city state tower hotel, very posh with casino on second floor and for only £20 a night for a nice room, room service 24 hours and very cheap aswell.fridge in room full of beer and pop, just used what we want and paid when we checked out. can get alot cheaper rooms out there if you want but £20 a night for top nothc hotel isnt bad,you can get a condo like daz, karl n butch got but not sure of the prices. city state was band in the middle of all the action and a 2 min walk from L.A cafe(girlie bars lol)although i wasnt interested,i was just a mere spectator of and supporter of the pool tournement . got to say again it was without doubt the best trek ive ever been on,i can sit here all day and explain but once youve seen it with your own eyes you will understand what i mean, butch will be back soon and im sure hes a few lines he would like to put on here and let you all know what sort of time he had... hahahaha butch the greatest dancer, nice one mate like i said awesome to witness big cash money games in oneside,i seriously take my hat off(if i had one on)to dynamite for his balls of steel approach into money games against them guys, gande valle awesome player but daz pumped him. watching shane, kiamco, luat, busta, alcaide, orcullo, efren and more play first hand was like a dream,i kept sayin to my mate how i felt, big cheesy grin all the time lolol, big kid in a sweet shop, some people might not feel the same but any decent cuesport player would appreciate it. met a few good people out there lads and lasses whom i gave 2 of my england shirts to as souveneirs,be good to go back next year and see them.very hard life out there for them and they depend on tourists like us to help them along, seriously cant wait for next year and for you lot who are makin the trip for the first time get ready for it to put a big cheesy grin on ye face,oh and put you on a massive downer when you get back home.seriously felt like shizen for the first 2 days but feel ok now didnt go to dave wrights(lefty)place peutro galero but he said was even better there and cheaper, imagine the scene world 9 ball on,oneside pool club with big cash games,20p-70p a beer, food cheap as chips,24 hour opening and an added bonus of about 200 girls in the bar droolin over you. spain, greece, tenerife and more never, never, never agian

You are all talking as if next year´s ecent will be in Manila once more. I understood that it would be in Indonesia although having talked to a representative of the Indonesian Federation I understand that they have some problems to iron out. Why does everyone think that Manila is the venue again???

Even if it is not in Manila, I would advise anyone who can to visit the place at least once in their lives. If you can live with seeing the poverty and the people sleeping on the streets you will certainly enjoy yourselves. And if you fancy your chances you will find plenty of quality players waiting to take your money off you on the Brunswick Metros that are installed in the Oneside Club, (any amount) I doubt though that there is anyone like Daz Appleton who fears no-one and will play anyone for their wedge and at any game. They even play one ball out there!!!!! [ This message was edited by: malaguista on 2007-11-18 07:57 ]

yeah thats what i thought after reading the matchroom website but see what happens.i agree malaguista the poverty side of things and seein families on the streets did upset me and i even admit once i went back to my room had a sit down and think and shed a tear, call me a soft twazzerk but it did upset me,the main thing what did it was seein a 3 year old ish girl come upto me cryin askin for coins as she was hungry,i have a 3 yr old daughter and it hurt me a lot.that side of manila i didnt like but the pool and the bars i enjoyed(a little lol). even if its not in manila im goin back to take another look just incase i missed something this time up and visit oneside again, top club and always get a game for a few quid. the guy who owns it is a decent kid aswell(japanese guy)and all friendly people. if the 9 ball is in indonesia ill go to manila and watch it on espn lolol

Not the biggest by a very long chalk striker, but 'Etihad' are the newest and they are officially the National Airline of the UAE, not 'Emirates' who many people mistakenly think are. Being still quite new they're eager to please so fares should stay reasonable for a while yet. Presumably you flew direct to Abu Dhabi from Manchester but of course Etihad also fly to Abu Dhabi from Heathrow for the benefit of the Southern monkeys. If you plan it better next time you might not have such a long stopover while changing at Abu Dhabi for the Manila leg. However if you do, visit the "Golden Class" office at Abu Dhabi airport and chat up the girl (she'll 99% certain be a Filipina anyway Abu Dhabi is full of them and you're already well practiced lol). Get her to sell you an entry ticket in to the executive lounge. Strictly speaking its not officially allowed for transit passengers but blag it as confidently as you can and they'll do it...........a tenner entry ticket gets you all the snack food you can eat, free internet access, unlimited drink at the bar and all the posh settees you need By the way, re the foreign birds......about 50% of Etihad air hostesses are British........most of their staff live in apartments in Abu Dhabi.....and they're not nearly as prim when they're out on the lash here [ This message was edited by: backtolife on 2007-11-18 14:39 ]

Try as I might, I can´t find anything on any website that says that the 2008 WPC will be in Manila. I hope it is because there are two places everyone should visit before they die, one is Manila and the other is Las Vegas
